At Parco del Mulino, every stay transforms into a genuine experience that combines relaxation, hospitality, and a social initiative that makes a difference. Located in the southern part of Livorno, just a short walk from the sea and surrounded by greenery, our guest house is operated by a cooperative dedicated to investing in human value by providing real opportunities for young individuals with disabilities, who are actively involved in the daily operations of hospitality and catering.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, making them perfect for families, couples, and travelers seeking peace, with views of a well-maintained garden that invites relaxation under the shade of trees, complete with lounge chairs, tables, and the scent of the sea. Each morning, guests can enjoy a self-service breakfast featuring packaged products, including gluten-free and whole grain options—a choice that originated during the health emergency and has continued for its convenience and safety.

Just a short walk from the property, our Pinseria offers the chance to enjoy original pinsa dishes named after the young people who prepare them, along with grilled meat in a friendly, cheerful, and inclusive atmosphere. There is also a children's play area, convenient on-site parking, an event room, and a camper area for those traveling freely.

Our mission extends beyond hospitality: here, after completing specific training programs, the young individuals take on roles such as receptionists, waiters, and pizza makers, guided by tutors and supported by digital tools that promote their independence. Work becomes a meaningful life project for them, offering opportunities for personal growth and community integration.

Parco del Mulino is also the perfect starting point to explore Livorno, with its promenade filled with lively venues, the Tre Ponti beach, and the charming, historic La Venezia district. The historic center, the port for Corsica and Sardinia, and numerous cultural and natural attractions are all within a short distance.

Choosing Parco del Mulino means contributing to an inclusion project that turns an ordinary stay into a valuable experience filled with genuine smiles, professionalism, and heartfelt hospitality.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast is designed for those who need to leave early in the morning, featuring a variety of packaged items. However, there are also fresh croissants and toast made daily available on the table. Additionally, in the refrigerator, you will find yogurt, milk, and fruit juice, labeled with your room number.
Pizza & Grill Parco del Mulino is a place where flavor meets inclusivity, creating a warm and genuine experience. In the summer, it welcomes guests to a spacious outdoor area surrounded by greenery, perfect for dining with friends and relaxing moments, complete with a play area designed for children's enjoyment. During the winter season, the atmosphere shifts to the large indoor lounge, which can accommodate up to one hundred people in a cozy and well-maintained environment.

More than just a restaurant, PdM Pizza & Grill is an essential part of the social project of the Parco del Mulino Cooperative. The young individuals with disabilities who work there every day are the heart and soul of the establishment: they greet customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, supported by a trained and attentive staff. The result is a service that impresses not only with its quality but also with the authenticity of the relationships it fosters.

The menu features a selection of pizzas made with top-quality ingredients, along with a tempting variety of grilled meats, reflecting a straightforward yet genuine culinary approach. The venue is also the ideal place to celebrate special occasions or host events and conferences, offering customized menus for every event. It is a gathering spot where everyone can feel good, in every sense.

Hey, I'm Parco del Mulino

The vibrant heart of our establishment consists of five young individuals from the Livorno section of the Italian Association for People with Down Syndrome Onlus, who have been employed as disadvantaged worker members by the Social Cooperative Parco del Mulino. Each day, they diligently focus on tidying the rooms, managing the kitchen, and serving breakfast, contributing seriously and attentively to the smooth operation of the guest house. However, beyond their tasks, it is their spontaneity, infectious friendliness, and the enthusiasm with which they greet every guest that truly makes the stay special. With their genuine smiles, they turn every encounter into an authentic moment, adding new value to hospitality and demonstrating how inclusion can become a shared treasure.

Area Mare

The Parco del Mulino guest house is situated in the Ardenza district, a peaceful residential area in the southern part of Livorno, surrounded by greenery and just a short distance from the sea. Its location is perfect for those looking to combine relaxation and convenience with the opportunity to explore the city's attractions and coastline. In just a few minutes on foot, you can reach the Tre Ponti beach, a favorite among locals, ideal for a sunny day or a stroll at sunset. Also nearby are La Rotonda and the historic Baracchina Rossa, iconic symbols of the city's waterfront.

The neighborhood has a laid-back and safe atmosphere, with many amenities close by and easy connections to the city center, which is about 5 kilometers away. Here, visitors can explore the Fortezza Vecchia, a remnant of the city's Medici past, and the charming Venice district, known for its canals and bridges reminiscent of the Venetian lagoon city. The port is also just around 4.4 kilometers away, serving as a departure point for ferries to Sardinia and Corsica, making this location an excellent base for travelers.

Additionally, the proximity to the expressway exit allows for quick access for those arriving by car and wishing to easily explore the Tuscan hills or other coastal destinations. It is a harmonious setting that combines nature, sea, and city, enriched by the social value of the project that inspires every corner of the establishment.
