The Student’s Hostel Gowett is located within a historic building that was constructed in the early 20th century by the English administration of the Val di Cornia mines. Today, it operates as a modern hostel offering 99 beds across rooms for 2, 4, and 6 guests, all featuring private bathrooms. The facility is perfect for families, groups of friends, and school trips, providing a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation.

Il ristorante di STUDENT'S HOSTEL GOWETT

The Santa Barbara Restaurant is housed within a charming, recently renovated historical building dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries. In the past, this structure supported mining activities, which were experiencing significant growth at that time.

Today, where the Santa Barbara bar-restaurant stands along the Temperino Stream, there used to be a long building that served as a stable and storage facility from the late 1800s, with a water collection cistern still visible.

The restaurant has a capacity of 70 indoor seats and approximately 100 in a newly established outdoor area equipped with shaded sails for the summer.

In front of the establishment, there is a small playground for children, and next to it is a picnic area open to the public, part of the San Silvestro Archaeological Mining Park.

Just a short walk away are the ticket office, parking, and access to the Temperino mine.

The Santa Barbara Restaurant also operates as a bar and a refreshment point for the park. It can accommodate groups of any size visiting the park by reservation.

Additionally, events of various kinds can be organized in the evenings upon request.
