Le Streppeta is a charming family-run bed and breakfast nestled in the serene Amerini mountains in Melezzole, a quaint village in the heart of Umbria. Established in 2021 within a beautifully restored ancient stone farmhouse, which honors the Umbrian-Tuscan tradition, the B&B features a single room located in the farmhouse's tower, complete with a panoramic terrace and private bathroom. It is an intimate and thoughtfully designed retreat, showcasing handcrafted furnishings, terracotta floors, and wooden beams that add warmth and authenticity to the space.

The accommodation is designed to host singles, couples, or small families seeking a peaceful and nature-filled experience without compromising on comfort. The spacious outdoor area boasts a rustic garden that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, while the indoor living area includes a cozy sofa, Bluetooth speakers, and complimentary Wi-Fi. However, the true relaxation spot is the outdoor hot tub equipped with chromotherapy, offering views of the hills and integrated sound system—an invitation to indulge the senses in every season.

Breakfast is one of the most cherished moments of the day. Served with locally sourced and personally selected products, it provides a rich variety of sweet and savory options, including yogurt, juices, cereals, fresh bread, jams, artisanal pastries, cured meats, and local cheeses. Everything is designed to make guests feel like part of the family.

Pets are welcome without breed restrictions, allowing up to four per stay, and are greeted with a dedicated kit that includes bowls, cushions, blankets, toys, and sanitized wipes. The property is not fenced but offers ample natural spaces for pets to roam freely.

In addition to relaxation, Le Streppeta serves as a starting point for various experiences and discoveries: from quad biking excursions to guided walks in the woods, from artisanal workshops to visits to local wineries. Nearby, one can explore historic towns like Narni, Orvieto, and Todi, or be captivated by stunning sites such as the Dunarobba Fossil Forest, the San Lorenzo Necropolis, or the Nera Gorges.

Carlo and Anna Maria warmly welcome every guest with genuine smiles and great care, eager to share the authenticity of this land and ensure a stay where everything is designed to make one feel at home, embodying the simplicity and beauty characteristic of Umbria.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast at Le Streppeta is a special occasion, thoughtfully prepared with care and passion to make every guest feel at home. Each morning, a selection of authentic products is served, sourced from the finest offerings of local suppliers: fresh bread, butter, honey, jams, yogurt, cereals, fruit juices, tea, milk, barley, hot chocolate, and espresso.

In addition to individual pastries, there are also artisanal sweets made with simple ingredients, and upon request, a variety of traditional cold cuts and cheeses to start the day with flavor and energy. Every item reflects the philosophy of the house: to offer only what Carlo and Anna Maria would gladly share at their own table.

Area Campagna

The area where Le Streppeta is located is a still authentic corner of Umbria, nestled in the unspoiled greenery of the Monti Amerini, at an altitude of about 600 meters. We find ourselves in Melezzole, a small hamlet in the municipality of Montecchio, surrounded by woods, olive groves, and landscapes that stretch out towards the Tiber valley. Here, nature reigns supreme, with clear skies, intense fragrances, and silences that accompany the slow rhythm of rural life.

This territory is perfect for those seeking a rejuvenating break: from trekking trails among chestnut and oak trees to guided excursions along paths leading to medieval villages, ancient fortresses, and scenic viewpoints. Nature enthusiasts can explore captivating places such as the Dunarobba Fossil Forest, while history buffs will discover hidden treasures like the Antiquarium Comunale, the necropolis of San Lorenzo, Narni Sotterranea, and the architectural wonders of Orvieto and Todi.

The region is also a guardian of genuine flavors: nearby, local wineries welcome visitors for tastings among the vines, craft workshops, and small trattorias where one can savor the most authentic Umbrian cuisine. Each season presents a different face: autumn is fragrant with must and olives, winter invites the warmth of firewood and red wine, while spring and summer burst forth in the colors of the fields and the sounds of the forest.

It is a perfect place to rediscover oneself, in harmony with nature, culture, and genuine hospitality.
