Area Collina

The village of Caso is situated among the Umbrian hills, enveloped in the greenery of the Val Casana, a region where time seems to move at a slower pace and nature prevails in the landscape. The village retains the authentic charm of small mountain towns, featuring cobblestone streets, stone buildings, and panoramic views that emerge between the rooftops and valleys. Here, the air is fresh, the silence is broken only by the songs of birds, and the connection with nature is an integral part of daily life.

Just a few minutes away, there are locations of significant historical and cultural interest. Sant’Anatolia di Narco, with its Benedictine abbey and the Hemp Museum, shares ancient traditions and knowledge. Scheggino, overlooking the Nera River, is a medieval village renowned for its black truffle and the culinary events that enliven its squares. Spoleto, about twenty minutes by car, houses an extraordinary artistic heritage, from Roman walls to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, and is famous for the Festival dei Due Mondi, attracting artists and visitors from around the globe.

This area is truly a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Trails and mule paths wind through forests of holm oaks and oaks, providing routes for trekking, mountain biking, or horseback riding. Nearby, the famous Greenway del Nera runs along the river, offering a cycle and pedestrian path through stunning natural scenery.

Val Casana, with its intimate and relaxed atmosphere, serves as an ideal base for exploring the heart of Umbria, alternating days of outdoor adventures with visits to villages rich in history, flavors, and traditions.
