Area Campagna

La Palombara is located in Logna, a small village surrounded by the lush greenery of Valnerina, in the heart of authentic Umbria. The landscape features cultivated plateaus of wheat, forests of oaks and maples, and views that open up to the Sibillini mountains, providing a sense of peace and silence that is hard to find elsewhere.

Just a few minutes away is Cascia, known worldwide as the city of Saint Rita, a pilgrimage destination rich in historical and artistic heritage from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. A bit further lies Norcia, the birthplace of Saint Benedict, celebrated for its culinary delights, including cured meats, black truffles, as well as saffron and the lentils from Castelluccio.

The region offers numerous opportunities for leisure and outdoor activities in every season. In the Sibillini Mountains National Park, visitors can embark on hiking, cycling, or horseback riding adventures along trails leading to medieval villages, hermitages, and ancient monasteries. In winter, the same mountains become an ideal setting for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, while in summer, the blooming of Castelluccio turns the plains into a unique mosaic of colors.

In addition to nature and spirituality, the area retains a strong cultural identity. Festivals, traditional celebrations, and farmers' markets allow visitors to discover the rhythms and flavors of local life. Valnerina is indeed a place where nature, history, gastronomy, and spirituality converge, offering travelers a complete and unforgettable experience.
