Nestled within a centuries-old park next to the medieval walls of the Carrarese Castle in Este, the Barchessa agriturismo welcomes guests to a beautifully restored historic residence from the 18th century, meticulously cared for by its owners. The neoclassical facade features a grand loggia supported by Doric columns, connecting two perfectly symmetrical wings of the building. Elegant decorative elements, such as the frieze with triglyphs and metopes, along with sculpted garlands on the lintels, enhance the exterior, highlighting the timeless charm of the property.

There are a total of four apartments, each furnished with antique furniture and equipped with modern comforts. Each unit includes a living room with a sofa bed and kitchenette, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower, accommodating up to six guests. The common areas, adorned with wooden ceilings and historic furnishings, invite relaxation, whether through reading, playing chess, or simply enjoying the garden view.

The Barchessa serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the Euganean Hills Regional Park, whether on foot or by bike, and is strategically located for visiting the major art cities of the Veneto region. The property also offers exclusive spaces for receptions and events, including a charming stable, the main hall, and the loggia. For weddings, a highly qualified catering service is available along with the option to reserve the stunning bridal suite for the couple. Mr. Graziano's attentive hospitality ensures that every stay is an authentic and unforgettable experience.

Hey, I'm Graziano

We are Graziano and Laura, a couple with a deep passion for history and architecture. Graziano is an architect and teaches design at an art high school. He has spent twenty years of his life restoring a family property that was once in a terrible state, reduced to a ruin overrun by weeds and with a collapsed roof. After facing numerous challenges, we finally unveiled the beauty of this place in 2005, recreating the atmosphere that existed here centuries ago. Our dedication has been significant, but each time you, our guests, enjoy the fruits of our labor and are captivated by our establishment, I feel that every effort has been worthwhile. We invite you to come visit us! It will be a pleasure to chat with you and recommend charming spots for walks, delicious food and drinks, and discover other attractions that might pique your interest!

Area Centro

The Barchessa is located in the heart of Este, a town rich in history and culture, nestled at the foot of the Euganean Hills. The historic center, featuring its elegant squares, noble palaces, and the picturesque Carrarese Castle, can be easily reached with a short walk. This area is ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of a Venetian village, surrounded by artisan shops, traditional restaurants, and historic cafés.

Thanks to its strategic location, Este serves as the perfect starting point for exploring the Euganean Hills Regional Park, which offers scenic trails, medieval villages, and the renowned thermal baths of Abano and Montegrotto. The main art cities of Veneto, such as Padua, Vicenza, Verona, and Venice, are easily accessible by car or public transport, making the Barchessa an excellent choice for those seeking a stay that combines nature, culture, and gastronomy.
