Hey, I'm Maria Grazia

Maria Grazia Lissa, born in 1955 in Posina, in the province of Vicenza, has always harbored a deep passion for art and inner exploration. After completing her classical studies in Padua, she earned a degree in Literature and Philosophy, presenting an experimental thesis on Giorgio de Chirico that intertwined artistic analysis with psychoanalysis. Painting and sculpture serve as her expressive mediums, allowing her to investigate emotions, anxieties, and memories. Since 1975, she has been experimenting with mixed techniques, ranging from scratching to collage, while maintaining an instinctive and personal approach. Over the years, she has expanded her artistic expression to include ceramics, developing a distinctive and recognizable style. Following a period of exhibitions and accolades, she has alternated between phases of intense creative activity and moments of reflection and study, delving into the works of Freud, Adler, and Jung. She worked as a satirical illustrator for Il Gazzettino before resuming her artistic production, participating in regional and national exhibitions. Today, her home serves as the heart of her art—a personal space where her exploration continues, unbound by constraints and influences, with the sole aim of giving form to her inner vision.
