Borso del Grappa is a location at the foot of Mount Grappa, recognized internationally as one of the capitals of free flight. From its summit, breathtaking views open up over the Dolomites, the Veneto plain, and, on clearer days, all the way to the Venetian Lagoon. The area attracts many paragliding and hang gliding enthusiasts due to its favorable flying conditions and the presence of equipped take-off and landing sites, including the Semonzo area, which is a landmark for events and competitions.
In addition to flying activities, the region is perfect for hiking, trekking, and mountain biking trails that wind through hills, forests, and alpine pastures. The trails from the Great War, featuring trenches and tunnels still accessible, allow visitors to discover the history of Mount Grappa, making the experience even more captivating.
Its geographical location also enables quick access to some of the most beautiful cities in the Veneto region. Bassano del Grappa, with its famous Alpini Bridge and a lively historic center filled with shops and cafes, is just a few kilometers away. Within less than an hour, you can also visit Treviso, Padua, and Vicenza, cities rich in Renaissance architecture and culinary traditions.
The area also invites exploration of local flavors: from the well-known grappa distilled after the mountain, to alpine cheeses, as well as typical Venetian dishes and wines from the Asolo Hills and the Euganean Hills. A stay in Borso del Grappa thus offers a blend of sports, nature, culture, and gastronomy in one itinerary.
