Description
The B&B Palazzo a Merse is an ancient farmhouse of the XVIII century, situated in Tuscany just 10 km from Siena in the green countryside of the Val di Merse. Its location is ideal for reaching all the most beautiful places in Tuscany: Siena (10 Km), Florence (70 Km), San Gimignano (55 km), Chianti (40 km), Montalcino and Brunello wine of the area (45 km), Pienza and the Val d'Orcia (60km), Montepulciano (70 km), Monteriggioni (20 km), San Galgano (20 km), the sea 60 km
The farmhouse has been lovingly restored, is built around an old mill of the thirteenth century, offers a spacious and shady garden with pool and barbecue. The apartments for 2-6 people, retain the characteristics of a time, are furnished with care, offer self-service heating, fully equipped kitchens, TV. The large garden is arranged to enjoy the beautiful breakfast, which the owners offer their guests, eat, enjoy the excellent Tuscan wines or relax around the pool.

The B&B Palazzo a Merse is specialized in the cyclists and trekkers, offering specific services such as rental bikes and a description of routes.

The B&B Palazzo a Merse is a “borgo” that was once the farm of the peasants who worked in the mill next door. Today the village has been carefully restored respecting the history, traditions and culture. Each apartment has a private entrance with ample space in the garden

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 15 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, the deposit or advance payment will not be refunded

Balance to be paid at check-out
For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

We stayed for 4 nights at a room in the owner's house. Pros: the room was comfortable, very clean, well decorated. The yard is peaceful. Most of the breakfast stuff was tasteful. Close to Siena and other worth-to-visit places/villages (there is no other way but car to visit them). Cons: there wasn't a seperate entrace for the room access. We should cross the TV room of the family to go to our room (it wasn't menstioned). They didn't change any sheets or towels. They didn't collect our trash not even once.

Dear Nikolaos, we are happy that you find our room confortable and clean even if you give us only a 7 for it! We are sorry about your disappointement about the entrance, change of towels/sheet and trash. In any case the entrance is private we don't use it, and it is true that you have to pass cross the TV room but no other guests find this as annoying thing indeed that is precisely what is required for a B&B, staying in contact with family, otherwise there are hotels... in the web-site is mentioned that the room is in the same house of owner. Sorry we change towels and sheets only one a week, but in the rules that you could find in the room you could read that if you need you could ask to us and we could change them with an additional payment. Ideally located in the Siena region. Spacious and comfortable room. Very warm welcome from the owners who don't hesitate to give advice on visits. Very generous breakfast with excellent local pastries. Very good address.

Beautiful accommodation in the old Italian farmhouse style, very well done. The hostess very kind and accommodating, highly recommended. Unfortunately, it was only for one night.

Lovely place, immersed in a private garden a few kilometers from Siena. The room was large, clean, bright, with an outdoor veranda and easy access to the parking lot. We also really enjoyed the rich breakfast, croissants, yogurt, cereals, and if desired, also cold cuts and cheeses. Courteous and discreet owners but always available if needed. Definitely worth repeating, maybe for more than one night.

Ho trovato ottima la struttura sia per le camere e gli esterni sia per la posizione che consente di raggiungere le più interessanti località della zona, aggiungo che la colazione è veramente abbondante e variegata, ma soprattutto sono rimasto colpito dalla gentilezza e professionalità dei gestori, sempre carinissimi e disponibili. Insomma i gestori che vorresti sempre trovare in queste occasioni e che dimostrano come questa sia veramente la loro missione. Non aggiungo altro, se avrò occasione tornerò sicuramente e in ogni caso lo consiglierò a chi vorrà andare in zona. Un grazie infinito per il soggiorno. Antonio.

Struttura posta in un luogo incantevole, con un giardino davvero bello che appaga la vista e invita al relax. Unico neo, forse perche soggiornato a maggio e in bassa stagione, gli esterni non sono così curati, tavoli impolverati sedie non troppo pulite che rendono un pò difficile la fruizione degli stessi da parte dei clienti. Per contro gestori carini e accoglienti.
