The Red Bee is a charming family-run Bed & Breakfast located in the peaceful outskirts of Castellana Grotte, just a short walk from the town center. The building is an ancient farmhouse from 1920 that has been recently renovated while preserving its authenticity, featuring exposed stone walls and traditional architectural details.

The four rooms, inspired by natural elements, create a unique atmosphere: the Water room in shades of blue, Fire in red, Earth in brown and gold, and Air in aquamarine. The Water and Earth rooms also offer a comfortable sofa bed. Each room includes a private bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, an LCD TV, and heating/cooling air conditioning.

Guests can start their day with a varied breakfast served in the dedicated dining area, which boasts an impressive “mirror” vault and original chianche flooring. Outside, the sunny garden invites relaxation among dry stone walls, ancient olive trees, almond trees, cherry trees, prickly pears, and lemon trees, providing an authentic corner of Puglia. The hospitality is characterized by familiarity and attention to detail, making every stay a warm and genuine experience.
Rooms and Rates
The breakfast features a delightful Italian-style buffet, filled with treats such as cookies, toast, cakes, jams, and organic honey, along with yogurt, cereals, fresh juices, coffee, and cappuccinos, not to mention seasonal fruits just picked! Upon request, guests can enhance the menu with savory options for an international breakfast experience. You can enjoy your meal in our cozy dining area or outside in the garden. The breakfast room is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. If you have specific food intolerances, please let us know when making your reservation so we can provide tailored service and avoid any issues. Additionally, our B&B proudly participates in the AIC project, Eating Outside the Home.

Area Periferia

Castellana Grotte is situated in a prime location for discovering the wonders of Puglia, nestled between the charm of the inland and the beauty of the coastline. The area presents a perfect balance of nature, history, and traditions, providing stunning scenery year-round, even outside the peak season when iconic spots can be enjoyed more peacefully.

Just a few kilometers away, breathtaking shorelines and idyllic beaches unfold, featuring crystal-clear waters and hidden coves that dot the Adriatic coast. Among the most captivating destinations are Polignano a Mare, known for its cliffs overlooking the sea and famous panoramic terraces, and Monopoli, with its picturesque historic center and fine sandy beaches interspersed with enchanting rocky inlets.

The inland region reveals an equally remarkable cultural and scenic heritage. The Castellana Caves, one of Italy's most spectacular speleological complexes, offer a journey into the earth's depths among stalactites, stalagmites, and extraordinarily beautiful underground environments. Not far away, the Itria Valley captivates with its timeless villages: Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its unique trulli, while Locorotondo and Cisternino charm visitors with their whitewashed alleys, welcoming squares, and outstanding culinary traditions.

For history and legend enthusiasts, the region is dotted with castles, cathedrals, and ancient medieval towns. Ostuni, known as the "White City," stands proudly on a hill with its lime-washed houses and winding streets, while Conversano, with its imposing castle, narrates centuries of history among fortified walls and fascinating noble residences.

The authentic atmosphere of Puglia can also be felt in its rural landscapes, among vast stretches of ancient olive trees, vineyards, and farmhouses surrounded by greenery, where one can discover the genuine flavors of local cuisine, featuring fine oils, robust wines, and traditional dishes.

Every corner of this land holds an ancient and vibrant spirit, offering visitors an experience filled with emotions, discoveries, and authenticity.
