Don Gaetano is an enchanting village of trulli from the 1700s, surrounded by olive trees, carob trees, almond trees, and cherry trees, with the lush Mediterranean scrub providing a picturesque backdrop. Here, the authenticity of Apulian architecture blends seamlessly with the landscape, creating an atmosphere of peace and well-being. The village features trulli and historic dwellings, including a refined manor house, all of which maintain their original charm thanks to meticulous restoration by master trullari from Alberobello.

The accommodations offer inviting spaces with attention to detail. The Trulletto, measuring 60 square meters, includes a double bedroom, a small living area with a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a sofa bed, making it ideal for couples or families of up to four. The more spacious Trullo Suite, at 115 square meters, features two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room with a single sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen, accommodating up to five guests. The Casedda, an old renovated farmhouse, provides a kitchenette, a dining room, a small living area, a double bedroom, and a twin room, suitable for four individuals. The manor house retains the allure of historic Apulian residences, boasting three double bedrooms with private bathrooms, a large kitchen, and a spacious sitting room furnished with local handcrafted furniture.

The communal areas encourage relaxation and socializing. The large stone courtyard and the outdoor spaces, furnished with tables, chairs, and sofas, are perfect for enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. The 18-meter infinity pool, nestled among the Mediterranean vegetation, offers moments of pure relaxation, especially at dawn and dusk when the reflections from the trees turn the landscape into a living painting. Additional amenities include a shared laundry area, an outdoor shower with hot water, and free parking.

Just 10 km away are the beautiful beaches of Monopoli, with its sandy coves and charming harbor. The strategic location allows for easy access to Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, Castellana Grotte, and Ostuni, where visitors can immerse themselves in local traditions and savor the typical delights of Apulian cuisine.

Hey, I'm Viviana

Borgo Don Gaetano has always been our beloved retreat, the place where we’ve created unforgettable memories. With the same care and passion that we’ve cherished it over the years, we have equipped it to provide our guests with an authentic and relaxing experience. Our wish is for you to feel at home here, embraced by a warm and comfortable atmosphere, just as we have.

Area Campagna

Borgo Don Gaetano is situated in the Romanazzi area, one of the many rural neighborhoods surrounding Monopoli, a charming port town located about 15 km away. The landscape is marked by a vast expanse of ancient olive trees, trulli, and historic farmhouses, nestled between hills and the sea, in a harmonious balance of nature and tradition.

Monopoli features a historic center with origins dating back to the early Middle Ages, overlooking the sea and protected by ancient fortified walls. Its cobblestone streets lead to baroque churches, lively squares, and a picturesque harbor, where traditional fishing boats add color to the scenery. The coastline is one of its main attractions, with a succession of hidden coves, sandy beaches, and low cliffs plunging into crystal-clear waters. A few kilometers away is Capitolo, the most renowned coastal district, boasting 15 km of coastline featuring both free beaches and well-equipped beach clubs.

From here, it's easy to reach some of the most enchanting locations in Puglia. Polignano a Mare, known for its sheer cliffs and panoramic sea terraces, is a small gem of poetry and beauty. Alberobello captivates with its centuries-old trulli, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which make the village truly unique. Locorotondo, with its distinct circular historic center, overlooks the Itria Valley and offers picturesque views. Martina Franca delights with its baroque architecture and the elegant atmosphere of its squares. Ostuni, referred to as the White City, is recognizable for its maze of alleys winding between lime-washed houses. Ceglie Messapica, keeper of an ancient culinary tradition, is a go-to destination for fans of Puglian cuisine. Cisternino, with its cobblestone streets and historic shops, provides an authentic experience filled with flavors and tradition.

Between the allure of the coast and the enchantment of the countryside, the region offers endless experiences to enjoy, encompassing sea, culture, and delicious food, allowing you to discover the most authentic side of Puglia.
