After more than fifty years spent in the vibrant capital, the owners of Le Dimore di Ma Ma decided to relocate to the tranquility of the Valle d’Itria, drawn by the enchanting landscapes and a desire for a more authentic life. Today, they warmly welcome guests, eager to share the beauty of this area and convey the true essence of Puglia through local food and traditions.

The property is set within a private park surrounded by ancient olive trees and fruit trees, featuring a small oak grove that invites relaxation and reading. The outdoor spaces are designed for the well-being of guests, including a 40 square meter swimming pool, a spacious patio equipped for alfresco dining, a barbecue area, a vegetable garden, and fresh eggs daily from the hens Gertrude and Genoeffa. Upon request, guests can enjoy lunches or dinners prepared on-site, accompanied by stories, authentic flavors, and some cooking tips.

Le Dimore di Ma Ma consists of a trullo and a stone house, each with a double bedroom and a French sofa bed in the living area, providing a total of 8 sleeping accommodations. A foldable crib is available for children under two years old. The owners reside on the estate year-round, available when needed but always respectful of guests' privacy.

Additional amenities include free parking, a charging station for electric vehicles, and bicycles available upon reservation. The location is perfect for exploring the region: the Adriatic beaches are about 20 minutes away, while the Ionian beaches are 40 minutes distant. Hey, I'm Maura

The managers of Le Dimore di Ma Ma are a couple from Rome who have chosen to change their lifestyle, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the big city to embrace the peace and slower pace of the Apulian countryside. Their decision to settle in the Itria Valley was not random; it stemmed from a deep love for this land, rich in history, art, and authentic flavors. For them, hosting means opening the doors to their daily life and sharing not just a space but also experiences, stories, and passions. With a sense of discretion and willingness, they are always ready to provide assistance and useful advice to help guests fully enjoy the area, perhaps over a meal prepared together or during a conversation in the patio at sunset.

Area Campagna

The area where Le Dimore di Ma Ma is located is one of the most captivating in Puglia: the Itria Valley, a region nestled between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, dotted with trulli, dry stone walls, centuries-old olive groves, and pristine rural landscapes. Here, the countryside is scented with aromatic herbs and red earth, and each village tells a story enriched by ancient traditions and unique architecture.

Within just a few kilometers lie some of the most iconic towns in the region. Martina Franca, known for its Baroque palaces and elegant streets; Locorotondo, famous for its white houses and flower-filled balconies; Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage site with its fairy-tale trulli; Cisternino, recognized for its quality of life and renowned for its butcher shops with visible grills; and Ostuni, the "White City" that overlooks the olive groves and gazes out to sea.

The first beaches of the Adriatic are about twenty minutes away, while the Ionian Sea, known for its warmer waters and sandy shores, can be reached in forty minutes. The coast of Salento is just over an hour away, as is Matera, the city of the Sassi and a cultural capital. Lecce is less than an hour's drive, and Brindisi and Taranto are approximately thirty minutes away. The Brindisi airport, convenient for air travelers, is only a 35-minute drive.

This region also offers a wealth of experiences: from visits to the Castellana Caves to the Fasano safari zoo, from culinary tours through farms and wineries to the artisan markets of small towns. It is a place that enchants in every season, where time seems to slow down and every detail speaks of authenticity.
