Various information
The area where Le Dimore di Ma Ma is located is one of the most captivating in Puglia: the Itria Valley, a region nestled between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, dotted with trulli, dry stone walls, centuries-old olive groves, and pristine rural landscapes. Here, the countryside is scented with aromatic herbs and red earth, and each village tells a story enriched by ancient traditions and unique architecture.
Within just a few kilometers lie some of the most iconic towns in the region. Martina Franca, known for its Baroque palaces and elegant streets; Locorotondo, famous for its white houses and flower-filled balconies; Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage site with its fairy-tale trulli; Cisternino, recognized for its quality of life and renowned for its butcher shops with visible grills; and Ostuni, the "White City" that overlooks the olive groves and gazes out to sea.
The first beaches of the Adriatic are about twenty minutes away, while the Ionian Sea, known for its warmer waters and sandy shores, can be reached in forty minutes. The coast of Salento is just over an hour away, as is Matera, the city of the Sassi and a cultural capital. Lecce is less than an hour's drive, and Brindisi and Taranto are approximately thirty minutes away. The Brindisi airport, convenient for air travelers, is only a 35-minute drive.
This region also offers a wealth of experiences: from visits to the Castellana Caves to the Fasano safari zoo, from culinary tours through farms and wineries to the artisan markets of small towns. It is a place that enchants in every season, where time seems to slow down and every detail speaks of authenticity.
