In the heart of the Park of Rock Churches, Agriturismo Nonna Rosa provides an authentic stay surrounded by the tranquility of the Matera countryside. Just a short distance from the Belvedere of Murgia Timone and remarkable historical and natural sites such as Jazzo Gattini and the Environmental Education Center, this establishment is rooted in a long-standing family tradition tied to the land and farming, passed down through generations by the Di Lecce family, also known as "Paccandun."
The rooms, created from a careful renovation of the original spaces of the farm, offer modern comforts within an authentic rural setting. Each area is decorated with simplicity and harmony, directly connecting with the surrounding nature filled with olive groves, orchards, gardens, and wheat fields. Some rooms overlook a small sun terrace with a relaxation corner, where guests can enjoy fresh fruit, herbal teas, or juices while taking in views of the tree-lined paths. All accommodations feature a private bathroom with a shower, TV, fridge, hairdryer, and luggage rack.

The stay experience is enhanced by activities related to farm life: from the seasonal harvesting of fruits and vegetables to the opportunity to collect eggs directly from the henhouse. Upon request, guests can enjoy dishes prepared in their rooms using produce from the garden. Breakfast, inspired by Matera's tradition, offers a wide selection, including options for gluten-free and lactose-free diets.

The agriturismo also includes a camper area of approximately 1000 square meters, sheltered by a natural quarry and shaded by oaks and holm oaks. Each pitch, about 60 square meters in size, ensures privacy and relaxation. Services available include water loading/unloading, electrical connections, sinks, showers, toilets, and, upon request, firewood for barbecues, breakfast, and ingredients to prepare the traditional Materan bruschetta.

Additionally, the establishment offers educational activities designed for schools and groups, guided excursions in the Murgia, and information on cultural events that enliven Matera throughout the year. The management is entirely family-run: Michele Di Lecce, along with his family, personally welcomes each guest, attending to every detail of their stay with care and dedication.
