In the heart of Felitto's historic center, the Refuge of Calore welcomes its guests in a house built directly on the rock, where the temperature remains pleasant even on the hottest days. The establishment spans multiple levels, with access to the garden from the ground floor, preceded by a spacious terrace that leads to the two B&B rooms. From the terrace and the garden, guests can enjoy a wide and captivating view of the Alburni peaks, perfect for relaxing and rediscovering the joy of silence.

The two rooms are cool in summer and equipped with independent heating in winter, furnished simply and thoughtfully. Each room includes a double bed, wardrobe, armchair, and a private bathroom with a shower. Free Wi-Fi is available in both rooms. Guests also have access to a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator and electric hot plates, ideal for preparing a herbal tea or a coffee to savor in peace. Breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors, under the porch, taking in the scenery and fresh air.

The location is perfect for nature lovers: just a two-minute drive away are the Gole del Calore, some of the most spectacular gorges in Italy, ideal for hiking, canyoning, kayaking, or simply swimming in the river. The Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, a UNESCO MAB Heritage site, surrounds the village, offering pristine landscapes and trekking paths for all skill levels.

Felitto boasts an authentic medieval village that is still inhabited, alongside a modern area with amenities, a public pool, and sports facilities. It is also known for its culinary tradition, particularly the “fusilli di Felitto,” handmade according to a recipe passed down through generations, celebrated every August with a festival that enlivens the town.

At the Refuge of Calore, you won't find televisions or shopping malls, but rather the distant sound of cowbells, starry nights to observe while lying on the grass, and waking up to the chirping of birds. It is the ideal place for those seeking an authentic break, away from urban hustle. Our home will also be your home.

Area Centro

Felitto is situated in the most untouched area of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano, and Alburni National Park in the province of Salerno. This medieval village has managed to maintain its authenticity over time, suspended between history, wild nature, and deep-rooted traditions. The historic center, dating back to the 11th century, features a maze of narrow streets, stone arches, and carved doorways that tell the story of the town's agricultural and feudal past. Even today, it is inhabited, vibrant, and well-kept, providing a genuine immersion into life as it once was.

At the foot of the village flows the Calore River, one of the clearest waterways in Europe. Over the centuries, the river has carved deep gorges into the limestone, creating a striking and majestic landscape. The Calore Gorges are among the most beautiful in Italy, offering a wide array of outdoor activities: hiking, walking or biking excursions, canyoning, kayaking, and refreshing swims in the crystal-clear waters. The riverbanks are accessible to hikers of all levels and host a variety of flora and fauna, making every stroll an immersive and surprising experience.

In addition to its natural beauty, Felitto is also a land of flavors and traditions. The village is famous for its "fusillo di Felitto," handmade pasta prepared according to an ancient recipe passed down through generations. Every August, the village celebrates this dish with a two-week festival during which the streets come alive with aromas, music, and camaraderie. The local cuisine reflects the simple and genuine spirit of the region, with dishes that combine high-quality ingredients with the skill of those who prepare them.

Those who choose Felitto for a holiday will find an authentic environment, free from hustle and bustle, where time seems to stretch. There are no shopping malls or nightclubs, just nature, tranquility, a starry sky, and the gentle sounds of life flowing slowly. It is the perfect destination for those who truly wish to disconnect and rediscover a deep connection with their surroundings and themselves.
