A Sabbiona is located in the hills above the city of Faenza, in a panoramic position (overlooking the plain of Ravenna).

La Sabbiona offers hospitality in a country house, with nice apartments and rooms, in harmony with the past and modern comforts of today. Traditional cuisine and ancient recipes find the perfect match with the excellent wines produced by our own company.

We have 1 single room, 4 double rooms, 1 room for 3-4 persons, two apartments (each for 2/4 guests) and two flat-studios, each for 2/3 people, total accommodation 22/24 beds.

Our Guests can taste dishes of our typical Romagnola cuisine, combined with our wines.

Each room and apartment have: private ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, TV, free WI-FI
a room available for disabled people too.

Not exactly the best in terms of hospitality, too focused on extra sensitivity towards Covid19.

Gentile Gimmy, ci spiace per la sua recensione di una notte sola nel primo week-end di riapertura. Lei desiderava cenare, non era prevista la cena, abbiamo fatto di tutto per farle gustare i nostri piatti tipici e confermarla per la serata. Ma lei all'arrivo ci ha comunicato che i bambini avevano deciso di andare altrove. La dobbiamo ringraziare perché abbiamo comunque lavorato per altri ospiti inaspettati. Il voto basso sulla pulizia si contraddice alla nostra extra sensibilità verso Covid-19. In effetti seguiamo le regole come previsto dalla legge per la nostra sicurezza e quella degli ospiti. La posizione, siamo 6 km da Faenza e 7 da Forlì, posizione molto bella che lei poteva conoscere bene, perché ha ricevuto tramite mail e sito tutte le indicazioni possibili. A metà febbraio era ancora proibito il buffet, ma portiamo al tavolo tutto quello che ci viene chiesto. Sia dolce che salato. Speriamo di potervi riavere una prossima volta come nostri ospiti per riconsiderare la nostra ospitalità. Cordiali saluti, La Sabbiona.

The owner is a very helpful and extremely kind lady. Excellent clean structure with very good and abundant breakfast. I would recommend the structure even for stays longer than 1 night.

Hey, I'm Serena

The love and passion they had for their farmland made Altini’s family, who have always been farmers, pushed them into starting new activities related to their farmhouse with the hopes of assuring a better future for their children. Since 1993, Sebastiano, Serena and their eldest son Mauro, have been working together to launch their Agriturismo (Homestead) with the help of their grandfather’s experiences (Mr. Quinto). In 1999, one of the most important accomplishments was completed: the family finished the restoration of their house dating back to the late 1500s! So today, after painstaking restorations, “ La Sabbiona “ offers very comfortable accommodation, such as rooms with bathrooms as well as mini-apartments, all finely furnished with antiques and enhanced by a very nice country style. The eldest son Mauro represents the new energy of the family. Indeed he is giving a strong impulse to go on with the different (not sure of the sense here, but I think it should read: is highly motivated to continue the family’s farming tradition) as well as with the Agriturismo. Mauro and his family are particularly focused on the quality of their genuine products, especially the wine that is produced on the premises. There they make wine from the grapes harvested from their vineyards and they also bottle it personally. A manual selection of the grapes during harvesting allows us to obtain first quality DOC and IGT wines, which are typical in our region.

The wonderful location, in the rolling hills around Faenza, a beautiful swimming pool, a veranda overlooking the simple but excellent food, is what one can find during a vacation at La Sabbiona. One can enjoy relaxation where nature is fully integrated with different charming places to be discovered.
Infact, “ La Sabbiona “ is surrounded by 2 national parks, ideal for hikers to embrace the very open and breathtaking view.

The farm house is also in a strategic position for visiting the following cities: Faenza (its Museum of Ceramics is famous all over the world), Ravenna- well known for its mosaics, Bologna, Ferrara, San Marino, Cervia (which has a Salt Museum and Mirabilandia theme park) and many other medieval villages such as Brisighella, Dozza, Bertinoro.
Florence is also very close as Faenza is directly linked by train which passes through the very charming and green Appennini mountains.
