Castellaro Cactus Agricultural Company is a small family-run business nestled in the peaceful countryside. Here, cacti, succulents, grains, and forage are cultivated in limited quantities without resorting to artificial methods or harmful substances. The succulent plants are propagated exclusively from seeds or cuttings and are never taken from the wild.

A visit to the greenhouse offers a chance to experience the rhythms of rural life and admire the extensive collection of mother plants, lovingly cared for over nearly forty years. The B&B is located within an ancient stone courtyard and features cozy rooms surrounded by a spacious tree-filled yard and a garden perfect for relaxation. During the warmer months, guests can enjoy meals outdoors, and a vegan breakfast is available upon request.

Guests can also take part in a mini-course focused on understanding and cultivating succulent plants, tailored to each individual's level of experience and interests. At the end of the course, participants will receive a handout full of helpful tips. The course lasts a minimum of two hours and is available for groups of at least two people at a special rate for those staying on-site.
Rooms and Rates
Unfortunately, provincial regulations dictate that breakfast must be served in pre-packaged portions. As a result, you will have the chance to enjoy a variety of sweet and savory items from a local pastry company. These delightful snacks, while not "homemade," still offer a taste of the quality of our Emilian tradition.

Hey, I'm Mario

Our company is run by two individuals: Mario, who focuses on agricultural production, and Milla, who oversees the horticulture and the bed & breakfast operations. We are excited to answer any questions you may have about traditional farming in our region as well as the more unusual cultivation of collectible succulents. Mario is fully dedicated to the agricultural side of the business and, as the head of the family, takes on the more demanding tasks within the greenhouse. Milla, on the other hand, views her passion as a genuine profession; she enjoys managing the horticultural aspect, handling both production and sales. Additionally, Silvia, who splits her time between Bannone and Rome, is a talented photographer available for photo shoots.
