Built around 120 years ago on a foundation of ancient medieval houses in the area of Casalino, Corte Vecchi is the product of a long and captivating historical evolution. By 1656, it was already owned by Count Angelo Francesco and Canon Don Carlo Angelo Gabbi, and in 1750, it came into the possession of the Montanari Counts. Notable figures in its history include the noblewoman Emilia Torrigiani, sister of Senator Luigi, who was first married to the Frenchman Gruau and later to Pavesi. It was her first husband who introduced the cultivation of fine grapes in the hills surrounding the estate, sparking a remarkable era for Parmese wine, celebrated in international exhibitions and still remembered today in local museums.

With the end of the winemaking activities, the estate was converted into a residence. It changed hands several times until it reached Mrs. Gina Ghezzi and Professor Mario Vecchi in 1939. After a period of neglect, the building has been skillfully restored, preserving its eclectic charm and dividing the former oratory into three living units, now home to the B&B Corte Vecchi.

The Bertoli-Mandelli family has decided to open this residence to the public, providing authentic hospitality that combines the warmth of Emilian welcome with the prestige of a place rich in frescoes, elegance, and history. The atmosphere, both refined and familial, makes Corte Vecchi an ideal destination for travelers seeking relaxation as well as for those looking for a private space for work or small events.

The spacious and bright rooms invite guests to enjoy a tranquil and beautiful experience. Decorated with antique furniture and modern high-quality fabrics, each room retains original details such as frescoes and period elements, reinterpreted in a contemporary style to ensure comfort and harmony.

Situated in the Parma Hills, in the heart of the Food Valley, it allows exploration of the best the region has to offer: from culinary excellence to Food Museums, from the Ducato Parks to Renaissance fortresses, not to mention the dairies and charcuteries that make this area a reference point for those who appreciate the culture of fine living.

In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with that of freshly baked cakes, turning each awakening into a delightful ritual of taste and hospitality.
