The Great Oak is a bed and breakfast nestled in the tranquility of the Apennines, recently renovated to provide a simple and authentic hospitality experience. The two double rooms, thoughtfully decorated, share a spacious bathroom. Outside, a large garden with a sunbathing area invites relaxation among trees and soothing silence.

A bright room with wooden flooring is available for yoga, meditation, or moments of peace. Just a hundred meters away flows the Rabbi River, with clear, swimmable waters, perfect for a refreshing dip in the warmer months.

Breakfast is abundant and served in the Italian style, made with local products. It is served on the porch during the summer and in the room during the colder months, ensuring a sweet and private awakening.

Annalisa and Deni, the hosts and guardians of this natural haven, welcome guests into their home with the desire to showcase the genuine beauty of the surrounding landscape. Within a short drive, you can reach Premilcuore, known for its waterfalls and trails within the Casentino Forests National Park. Galeata and Pianetto, featuring the Abbey of Sant’Ellero and the villa of Theodoric, are also worth a visit. In just half an hour, you can explore the thermal baths of Castrocaro or the mountain views of Campigna.

Area Collina

La Grande Quercia is located in the heart of the Forlì Apennines, in an area abundant with pristine nature, scenic trails, and historic villages. Just a short walk from the property flows the Rabbi River, with its clear and swimmable waters, making it an ideal spot for a refreshing break during the summer days. The landscape surrounding the B&B is typical of the Apennines, featuring wooded hills, small open meadows, deep silences, and a clear sky that encourages relaxation.

Only ten minutes by car leads you to Premilcuore, a charming medieval village nestled among the mountains, renowned for its natural waterfalls and the numerous hiking trails that traverse the Casentino Forests, Monte Falterona, and Campigna National Park, one of the largest and most captivating in Italy. The park boasts a rich habitat of biodiversity, perfect for trekking enthusiasts, nature photographers, and those seeking contemplation.

Nearby, Galeata and Pianetto are also worth visiting: here, the allure of the landscape intertwines with history, thanks to the Abbey of Sant’Ellero and the evocative villa attributed to Theodoric. For those seeking wellness moments, the famous thermal baths of Castrocaro can be reached in about half an hour, as well as the Campigna plateau, where the highest peaks of the Romagna Apennines rise, often snow-covered in winter and perfect for excursions even in the colder season.

This area is ideal for those looking for an authentic connection with nature, away from crowded tourist paths, yet rich in inspiration for those who love to walk, explore small villages, and experience slow and harmonious rhythms.
