Agriturismo Ai Due Leoni is situated in a prime location for those who wish to blend nature, culture, sports, and relaxation. We are located in the heart of the Agro Aquileiese, an area that has preserved its agricultural roots and boasts vast, tranquil landscapes interspersed with canals, crops, and small forests. Just a few kilometers away is Grado, the renowned "Island of the Sun," known for its golden beaches, thermal baths, charming Venetian historic center, and seafood restaurants overlooking the lagoon. Even closer is Aquileia, home to its remarkable UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, the National Museum, and the majestic Basilica, which serves as a precious testament to a unique Roman and early Christian past in Europe.
This region is also ideal for cycling enthusiasts: the agriturismo is adjacent to the Alpe Adria cycle path, a scenic route that connects Salzburg to Grado, traversing the Alps and the Friulian plain. The bike path that runs in front of the property links Aquileia to the sea and is perfect for families, casual riders, and athletes. Guests can enjoy free use of bicycles and have access to a spacious garage for secure storage.
Within the 230-hectare estate, visitors can walk or jog along unpaved roads surrounded by nature, among fields of sunflowers, corn, soybeans, wheat, and vineyards. It is not uncommon to spot hares, deer, herons, buzzards, and squirrels. For those looking to stay active, there is a well-equipped gym, a five-a-side football field, and a concrete tennis court, with free racket rentals available.
To unwind, there is an outdoor swimming pool nestled in the garden, complete with sun loungers and umbrellas, suitable for both adults and children. After a day filled with culture, sports, or beach activities, it's delightful to indulge in a refreshing swim or enjoy a peaceful moment in the sun.
Finally, in the surrounding area, it is possible to arrange day trips to discover other gems of Friuli Venezia Giulia: Cividale with its Lombard heritage, Palmanova with its perfect star-shaped layout, Udine with its Venetian elegance, Gorizia with its Central European influences, and Trieste, perched by the sea, boasting literary cafés and the Miramare Castle overlooking the gulf. Every journey begins here, where nature and culture harmoniously intertwine.
