The establishment is situated in a highly captivating natural setting within the Circeo National Park, one of Italy's oldest protected areas, established in 1934 to safeguard the biodiversity and scenic beauty of this stretch of the Lazio coastline. We are located in the Mezzomonte area, on the inner slope of the Circeo promontory, a position that blends the tranquility of the countryside with proximity to the sea and places of significant historical and natural interest.
The landscape is dominated by the distinctive outline of Monte Circeo, a limestone massif that rises steeply from the sea, adorned with dense Mediterranean vegetation. At its base lies a valley that was once cultivated with vineyards, particularly for the production of the esteemed Moscato di Terracina, which still today stands as one of the most authentic expressions of the region. This area is situated about 25 meters above sea level and enjoys a unique microclimate influenced by its closeness to the sea and the presence of woodland.
Surrounding paths meander into the heart of the park, among cork oaks, holm oaks, oaks, strawberry trees, mastic trees, and myrtles. These trails lead to scenic viewpoints, ancient caves, Roman ruins, and perfect observation points to admire the coastline or ascend to the Peak of Circe. The area is ideal for nature enthusiasts, hikers, photographers, and those seeking a rejuvenating stay, away from noise and hustle.
The establishment is also strategically positioned to reach some of the most beautiful beaches in the area within just a few minutes: Torre Paola, about 3.5 km away, with its wide sandy shore and crystal-clear water, and Torre Vittoria, located 2.5 km away near the seaside village of San Felice Circeo. In close proximity are also Lake Paola, the historical center of Sabaudia, the famous Circeo State Forest, and for those looking for a longer excursion, the Abbey of Fossanova and the Gardens of Ninfa.
