The Agriturismo Giandriale is located at an altitude of 700 meters, within a protected oasis of 150 hectares in the lush Val di Vara, one of the Sites of Community Interest acknowledged by the European Union for its significant environmental value. Surrounded by the most authentic nature of Liguria, among ancient forests and sunny pastures, it offers a tranquil stay filled with the fragrance of aromatic herbs and the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape.

Strategically positioned on the Levante coast, just 22 km from the sea at Sestri Levante and a short distance from Portofino, the Cinque Terre, and medieval villages in the inland area, this establishment serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding region. The agriturismo is not a traditional hotel, but a genuine country house where guests can live in harmony with nature. Access is via a picturesque dirt road that winds through the woods, setting the tone for a stay immersed in greenery.

Accommodations are situated in an ancient stone farmhouse, with rooms decorated in line with rural traditions and equipped with private bathrooms. All guests can enjoy a panoramic terrace with views over the valley, in addition to a spacious common room and Wi-Fi connectivity. For dinner, it is advisable to book in advance to ensure quality and organization of service.

The culinary experience is closely tied to in-house production, resulting from committed organic farming practices that respect the environment. Vegetables, fruits, honey, and herbs are grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The meat comes from Limousin cattle raised freely in mountain pastures. All products can be purchased on-site and form the basis of the dishes offered: authentic meals such as trofie with pesto, herb ravioli, chestnut gnocchi, savory pies, and desserts made with the farm's preserves.

The surrounding area is a paradise for hiking and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Numerous trails depart from the agriturismo, traversing unspoiled landscapes ideal for trekking, scenic walks, and mountain biking. On the property, there is also a monumental holly tree, accessible via a short walk, and multi-day trekking tours are organized between local agriturismos.

Completing the offerings, the Val di Vara Adventure Park provides thrilling treetop obstacle courses for all ages, featuring the unmissable Super Zip-line. For younger guests, the Children's Forest offers a playful educational experience in the woods, with suspended paths, themed activities, and educational playhouses.

Nearby, recreational opportunities abound: just 2 km away is an outdoor swimming pool, while nearby towns offer horseback riding, rafting, and visits to mines, caves, and the archaeological site of Valle Lagorara. Agriturismo Giandriale is an authentic establishment, driven by passion, hard work, and a welcoming spirit. It is a place where nature, taste, and adventure converge, allowing for beauty and tranquility to flourish.

Area Campagna

The area surrounding Agriturismo Giandriale is an authentic and surprisingly diverse corner of Liguria. We are located in Val di Vara, one of the greenest areas in the region, often referred to as "the valley of organic farming" due to its strong natural and sustainable agricultural practices. Here, the environment has remained unspoiled, featuring vast forests, open pastures, clear streams, and an extensive network of trails that connect medieval villages, scenic ridges, and ancient transit routes.

Just 22 kilometers away lies the sea at Sestri Levante, famous for its renowned Baia del Silenzio. In under an hour, one can explore the iconic destinations of the Cinque Terre, Portofino, Camogli, and the Gulf of Tigullio, all overlooking the azure waters of the Ligurian Sea. However, it is the inland that truly captivates, with its leisurely pace and rich cultural and natural heritage waiting to be discovered. A short distance from the agriturismo are Varese Ligure, notable for its unique circular urban layout, and the archaeological site of Valle Lagorara, abundant in prehistoric and mining artifacts.

Nature enthusiasts will find an extraordinary ecosystem, designated as a Site of Community Interest, where wildlife roams freely, and every walk becomes an opportunity to reconnect with the environment. Nearby, one can engage in activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rafting, and climbing, or simply enjoy a day at the outdoor pool in Tavarone or take part in horseback riding excursions organized by local farms.

This region strikes a perfect balance between sea and mountains, culture and nature, adventure and contemplation. It is ideal for those looking to step off the beaten path and be guided by the scents of the woods, authentic flavors, and the rejuvenating silence.
