In the heart of Valcamonica, at the foot of the majestic Concarena, Le Aquane welcomes its guests in the village of Ono San Pietro, in a family home that still retains the warmth of past generations. Surrounded by unspoiled nature and steeped in a rich historical and cultural context, this establishment offers an authentic stay throughout the year, where guests can feel at home, whether traveling for leisure or business.

The bed & breakfast is named after the aquane, female figures from alpine mythology associated with water and nature, evoking their charm through well-maintained spaces, restored furnishings that belonged to Stefania's grandparents, and environments that tell the story of the area. The old stable has been transformed into a charming breakfast room, where Stefania prepares delightful morning treats for the guests. There are three available rooms, each with distinct features suitable for solo travelers, couples, or families, all equipped with Wi-Fi and thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and practicality.

The essence of the project is embodied by Stefania and Adelchi, a couple with extensive experience in hospitality and a strong connection to their homeland. In addition to Le Aquane, they also manage the Ostello Centro Concarena, where they organize a summer music camp for youth and promote inclusive and sustainable initiatives in collaboration with local schools, guides, and associations.

The area is a constant invitation to explore: hiking trails, climbing walls, ski slopes, and biking paths traverse ever-changing landscapes, while historic routes like the Via Valeriana lead to the discovery of the valley's oldest soul. Just a few kilometers away, one can find sites of art and spirituality, such as the Pieve di San Siro, the Monastery of San Salvatore, or the UNESCO-recognized National Park of Rock Engravings at Capo di Ponte. For food enthusiasts, there are plenty of gastronomic experiences to enjoy among wineries, breweries, trattorias, and restaurants that honor local flavors with authenticity.

Le Aquane is not just a place to sleep but a small universe where nature, memory, music, and hospitality intertwine, aiming to provide each guest with a unique experience deeply rooted in the culture of Valcamonica.
Rooms and Rates
Every morning, Stefania carefully prepares breakfast in the charming room converted from an old stable, where the stone of the Concarena tells the story of the place. The ingredients are selected with care to provide a genuine and enjoyable start to the day, featuring both sweet and savory options designed to satisfy various tastes and needs. The aroma of fresh bread and homemade cakes blends with the warmth of hospitality, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where guests can savor each bite before setting off to explore Valcamonica.

Hey, I'm Adelchi

Stefania and Adelchi are the heart of Le Aquane, a couple united not only in life but also in their passion for hospitality and their region. Stefania warmly welcomes guests with care and dedication, attending to every detail of the home that once belonged to her grandparents, keeping their memory alive through restored furnishings and authentic atmospheres. Each morning, she devotes herself to preparing breakfast, turning a simple wake-up into a special occasion. Adelchi, who has extensive experience from managing the family refuge, shares with Stefania a commitment to gentle tourism that is environmentally conscious and inclusive to all. Both are actively involved in the cultural life of the valley, participating in the local band and promoting inclusive initiatives such as a Music Camp for youth and retreats for individuals with disabilities. Their presence is subtle yet consistent, always ready to offer advice, share stories, and provide smiles, making every guest feel like part of a home with deep roots and an open view of the world.

Area Collina

The area of Ono San Pietro, a small village situated in the heart of Valcamonica, is a region where nature, history, and culture exist in perfect harmony. Surrounded by forests, meadows, and mountain cliffs, the village lies at the foot of the Concarena, an impressive and picturesque mountain range that dominates the landscape with its wild beauty and rugged profiles.

This part of the valley is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities: scenic trails wind through pastures and woodlands, making it perfect for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding. In winter, there are plenty of opportunities for snow sports, while during the warmer months, one can engage in climbing, relish the tranquility of the landscape, or simply stroll along the paths of the Cammino della Via Valeriana, which runs through Ono San Pietro.

Moreover, this region boasts significant archaeological and cultural wealth. Just a few minutes away are some of the most important parks of rock engravings in the Valle dei Segni, a UNESCO World Heritage site, preserving extraordinary evidence of the Camunian civilization. Locations like Naquane and Cemmo offer immersive experiences between prehistoric art and nature. Alongside these ancient remnants are gems of Romanesque architecture, such as the Pieve di San Siro and the Monastery of San Salvatore, as well as treasures of sacred art like the wooden Stations of the Cross at the Sanctuary of Cerveno.

The local gastronomic tradition also takes center stage: the area presents local specialties to discover in traditional restaurants and small farms. Mountain cheeses, artisanal cured meats, IGT wines from Valcamonica, and beers produced from locally grown barley convey the identity of the valley through their flavors.

Ono San Pietro and its surroundings represent an authentic destination, still largely untouched by mass tourism, where every corner holds stories, silences, and encounters that make the journey a profound and personal experience.
