The area where Casino Tonti Iarussi is located is an untouched corner of Molise, surrounded by a landscape that remains authentic and far from mass tourist routes. We are in Forlì del Sannio, a small mountain village in the province of Isernia, nestled in a region of significant natural and cultural value. The holiday home is situated on a plateau at an altitude of 800 meters, enveloped by oak forests, pastures, and ancient paths used for transhumance, now perfect for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
Just a few kilometers away lies the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park, one of Italy's most important nature reserves, famous for its protected wildlife, including the Marsican bear, the Apennine wolf, the chamois, and the golden eagle. Its well-marked trails provide opportunities for direct contact with nature throughout the year, from the golden woods of autumn to the snowy landscapes of winter.
Cultural enthusiasts can easily visit some of the most captivating sites of ancient Molise: Sepino with its Roman theater, Pietrabbondante with its impressive Italic sanctuary, Castel San Vincenzo with its Benedictine abbey and lake, and the National Paleolithic Museum of Isernia, which houses one of Europe's oldest human remains, the Homo Aeserniensis.
During the winter season, the area also offers the chance to engage in snow sports due to its proximity to the slopes of Roccaraso, Campitello Matese, and Capracotta, all accessible in just over half an hour.
This part of Alto Molise retains the simple charm of mountainous lands, with stone villages, genuine culinary traditions, and warm hospitality that makes every visitor feel at home.
