Nestled in the tranquility and unspoiled nature of Molise, the vacation home Casino Tonti Iarussi is a stone farmhouse dating back to 1854, meticulously renovated while preserving its traditional charm. Located on a plateau at an elevation of 800 meters within the Abruzzo and Molise National Park, it is just a 10-minute drive from Forlì del Sannio and a short distance from popular tourist destinations such as Roccaraso, Capracotta, Campitello Matese, as well as significant archaeological sites like Sepino, Pietrabbondante, Castel San Vincenzo, and the Paleolithic museum in Isernia.

Surrounded by ten hectares of level private lawn and oak forests, the farmhouse spans two floors and accommodates up to eight guests. The ground floor features a spacious living room with a stone fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and a lounge area, while the upper floor includes two double bedrooms, a small room with bunk beds, and a bathroom. The rustic ambiance is complemented by modern conveniences: guests will find two televisions, heating, a washing machine, an iron, a hairdryer, a safe, bed linens, towels, soaps, and even bicycles available for use.

Outside, the house boasts a large garden furnished with tables, sun loungers, a hammock, an umbrella, and a stone barbecue for outdoor meals. Upon request, information can be provided on nature trails, outdoor activities, local traditions, and regional culinary specialties. During the summer and autumn months, guests can even bring their own horses for rides along the historical transhumance paths.

Run by Biagio and Letizia, the farmhouse is the perfect choice for those who appreciate nature, serenity, and the genuine simplicity of rural life. Pets are welcome, and children up to four years old can use a camping cot free of charge.

Area Campagna

The area where Casino Tonti Iarussi is located is an untouched corner of Molise, surrounded by a landscape that remains authentic and far from mass tourist routes. We are in Forlì del Sannio, a small mountain village in the province of Isernia, nestled in a region of significant natural and cultural value. The holiday home is situated on a plateau at an altitude of 800 meters, enveloped by oak forests, pastures, and ancient paths used for transhumance, now perfect for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.

Just a few kilometers away lies the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park, one of Italy's most important nature reserves, famous for its protected wildlife, including the Marsican bear, the Apennine wolf, the chamois, and the golden eagle. Its well-marked trails provide opportunities for direct contact with nature throughout the year, from the golden woods of autumn to the snowy landscapes of winter.

Cultural enthusiasts can easily visit some of the most captivating sites of ancient Molise: Sepino with its Roman theater, Pietrabbondante with its impressive Italic sanctuary, Castel San Vincenzo with its Benedictine abbey and lake, and the National Paleolithic Museum of Isernia, which houses one of Europe's oldest human remains, the Homo Aeserniensis.

During the winter season, the area also offers the chance to engage in snow sports due to its proximity to the slopes of Roccaraso, Campitello Matese, and Capracotta, all accessible in just over half an hour.

This part of Alto Molise retains the simple charm of mountainous lands, with stone villages, genuine culinary traditions, and warm hospitality that makes every visitor feel at home.
