  • Romantic atmosphere
Set amidst the lush greenery of Canavese, La Bella Dormiente is a recently renovated farmhouse that welcomes its guests into a simple, authentic, and relaxing atmosphere. Located in a quiet hamlet of Castellamonte, at the foot of Monte Quinzeina and Verzel—whose silhouette inspired the nickname "the Sleeping Beauty"—the farmhouse is surrounded by woods and meadows, making it perfect for those looking to reconnect with nature and embrace a slower pace of life.

The property features a spacious panoramic terrace and provides direct access to trails ideal for hiking, biking, or running. Children can enjoy the outdoors thanks to a green area equipped with a soccer field, a small soccer pitch, and a wooden playhouse. The carefully decorated rooms, which respect the original style of the farmhouse, are all double rooms, independent, and equipped with a private bathroom featuring a shower box, hairdryer, and toiletries. Additional single beds can be added upon request. Each room has a balcony, free Wi-Fi, and is handed over with keys upon arrival to ensure maximum independence. Free parking is available, along with outdoor areas for smokers.

Breakfast is one of the highlights: every morning, a selection of local and wholesome products is served, including fresh bread, cakes, cookies, jams, honey, yogurt, fruit, and hot beverages. Guests can choose to enjoy breakfast in the common room, on the terrace, or directly in their rooms. Customized options are available for those with special dietary needs or food intolerances.

The strategic location allows for exploration of the Gran Paradiso National Park, the Sacred Valley, the Val Chiusella, and the main attractions of the Canavese region, including castles, sanctuaries, lakes, mines, festivals, and gastronomic trails. Just a few kilometers away is the UNESCO-listed Sacred Mountain of Belmonte. There are outdoor activities for every season, ranging from horseback riding and mountain biking to paragliding and cross-country skiing, as well as climbing, Nordic walking, trail running, ice climbing, and canoeing-kayaking.

La Bella Dormiente is more than just a place to sleep; it is an invitation to slow down, listen to nature, and rediscover the value of time.
Rooms and Rates
Every morning, La Bella Dormiente welcomes guests with a wholesome and hearty breakfast made from carefully selected local products. Fresh bread, homemade cakes, cookies, artisanal jams, local honey, yogurt, seasonal fruits, and natural juices are served alongside hot beverages such as coffee, tea, and milk. The atmosphere is warm and friendly: guests can choose to start their day in the breakfast room, outside on the terrace, or, upon request, in the tranquility of their own room. Custom options are available, including an international breakfast or solutions tailored for any food intolerances, ensuring that each guest enjoys a personalized awakening filled with taste and simplicity.

B&B La Bella Dormiente

Area Collina

The Sleeping Beauty is located in the heart of Canavese, an area that remains authentic and less frequented by mass tourism, where nature, history, and traditions coexist in perfect harmony. The establishment is situated in a quiet hamlet of Castellamonte, just a few minutes from the town center, surrounded by meadows, forests, and mountains that provide breathtaking landscapes and relaxing atmospheres in every season.

Rising behind it are Monte Quinzeina and Monte Verzel, known for their silhouette resembling a woman lying down, which gives rise to the nickname "the Sleeping Beauty." Numerous trails suitable for hiking, biking, or horseback riding wind through the greenery and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for those seeking to rejuvenate in the silence of nature.

The area serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Gran Paradiso National Park, the valleys of Canavese—such as the Sacred Valley and Val Chiusella—and for easily reaching cultural and natural destinations like Ivrea, Turin, the Aosta Valley, or the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sacro Monte di Belmonte.

The region also offers a surprising variety of experiences: from medieval castles to alpine lakes, from perched sanctuaries to mining trails, from local festivals to markets, and gastronomic routes that highlight traditional products and farming customs. For sports enthusiasts, there are plenty of opportunities available: climbing, via ferrata, skiing, trail running, Nordic walking, paragliding, horseback riding, nature photography, canoeing, mountain biking, and ski mountaineering.

Nestled among mountains and hills, the Sleeping Beauty is an ideal retreat for those looking to escape from the daily grind, breathe fresh air, and enjoy an authentic experience in a corner of Piedmont that still retains its true charm.
