The B&B 'L Ramassin is situated in a prime location on the hill of Busca, within the province of Cuneo, an area that maintains the authentic charm of the most genuine Piedmont. This region, nestled between plains and mountains, is perfect for those seeking tranquility, nature, and breathtaking landscapes that amaze in every season.
Busca, which can be reached in just a few minutes from the B&B, is a peaceful town rich in history, renowned for its music institute and numerous Romanesque and medieval buildings. As you stroll through its streets, you can admire the Church of Rossa, Porta Santa Maria, and the enchanting neo-Gothic Roccolo Castle, set within a centuries-old park.
A short drive away lies the historic center of Saluzzo, one of the best-preserved towns in Piedmont, featuring cobblestone streets, Renaissance palaces, and the area known as “La Castiglia,” an ancient prison complex that now houses a museum. Saluzzo is a vibrant city where art, culture, and craftsmanship coexist harmoniously.
The B&B's location is also ideal for mountain lovers and hikers: the nearby Maira, Grana, and Varaita valleys present pristine landscapes, quaint alpine villages, scenic trails, and vibrant Occitan traditions. A path directly from the B&B connects to the famous Occitan Trails, a circular route that traverses the most spectacular peaks of the three valleys, following well-maintained and marked ancient mule paths.
This area is also perfect for those wishing to explore nature by bike: MTB and gravel bike trails are available, with rental options directly at the B&B. The surrounding landscape offers routes that alternate between forests, vineyards, meadows, and waterways, providing a perfect balance of outdoor activities and relaxation.
The region around Busca is also known for its rich gastronomic and agricultural traditions. Here, ancient fruits, wild herbs, and authentic-tasting vegetables are cultivated, and it’s common to encounter farmers' markets or small producers welcoming visitors. It’s an area that encourages slowing down, observing, and savoring, amidst relaxing views and earthy aromas.
