The Casa Rosa is located in Piobesi d’Alba, a charming village nestled in the gentle hills of Roero, just a few kilometers from Alba, the capital of the Langhe region. This area, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site along with the surrounding wine landscapes, offers breathtaking views filled with vineyards, hazelnut groves, and forests that change colors with the seasons, providing ever-changing and picturesque vistas.
The village has all essential services, including grocery stores, tobacco shops, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, a pharmacy, a post office, and public swimming pools, which are perfect for the summer months. Every Saturday afternoon, the town square hosts a market featuring local specialties, making it an excellent opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the region.
Not far away are cities rich in art and tradition, such as Alba, renowned for the International White Truffle Fair, the Vinum wine event, and the Collisioni festival, as well as Bra, the cheese capital, which hosts the Cheese event that attracts visitors from around the globe. Asti, famous for its Palio and renowned wines, and Turin, with its museums and Savoy charm, are also easily accessible.
Among the nearby attractions are the Big Benches, large panoramic benches that dot the hills and provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Notably, the red and blue bench in Corneliano d’Alba can be reached with a pleasant walk.
This area is perfect for those who enjoy walking and slow tourism; amidst the woods, trails, and vineyards, visitors can experience nature up close, perhaps paired with wine tastings at the numerous wineries in the region. Here, between Langhe and Roero, the journey becomes a sensory experience that weaves together culture, gastronomy, and stunning landscapes.
