The Bed & Breakfast Le Antiche Volte was created out of a desire to breathe new life into the grandparents' home in Montalenghe, transforming it into a welcoming space that reveals an authentic and lesser-known corner of Piedmont. Surrounded by greenery and steeped in a rich culture filled with genuine flavors, the establishment provides a retreat from the daily hustle and bustle, where time seems to flow at a slower pace.

After a careful renovation, the house has become a gathering place for curious travelers, visiting families, athletes seeking new challenges, and couples looking for peaceful moments. Here, one can rediscover the joy of simple pleasures: the starry sky, the uninterrupted landscape stretching from one village to another, and the sounds and silences of nature.

It is a simple and inviting place, where you can feel at home even when away from home, sharing spaces and experiences in an authentic and relaxed atmosphere.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast is straightforward but abundant in carefully selected, quality ingredients. The bread is delivered fresh each morning from a local bakery, while the jams, always at least three varieties, are made with chunky fruit, featuring a mix of classic flavors and more unique combinations depending on the season.

In addition to traditional juices, we offer two special varieties made from ancient local apples: Fior di Melo and Kimel, a unique blend of apples and kiwi. The coffee is brewed using a moka pot with a premium blend of arabica from an artisan roaster, while tea enthusiasts can choose from 15 different varieties from a well-known London brand.

The homemade pastries change daily and are prepared with consideration for any dietary intolerances. The fresh fruit comes exclusively from our orchard and aligns with the seasonal cycle. The breakfast spread is completed with milk, yogurt, cereals, butter, Nutella, and a delightful quince jelly, which evokes childhood memories for many and provides natural energy appreciated by athletes.

Area Collina

We are located just three minutes from the San Giorgio Canavese exit of the A5 Turin-Aosta highway, in a region that is still relatively unknown but full of charm. Turin can be reached in 40 minutes—close enough for a visit yet far enough to savor the tranquility of the countryside.

The landscape boasts an extraordinary variety. Mountains surround the area, and in just over half an hour, you can reach the Gran Paradiso National Park and the wild Valchiusella. For high-altitude enthusiasts, Gressoney St. Jean and Torgnon, located at the foot of Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn, are less than an hour away. The hills, shaped by the ancient Balteo glacier, create a succession of forests and picturesque villages, making it ideal for road cyclists and mountain biking enthusiasts.

Lakes dot the landscape, presenting diverse scenes: Lake Candia, a provincial park just five minutes away, is an oasis of nature and wildlife; Lake Viverone, a UNESCO site, invites exploration of its waters and the Bronze Age pile-dwelling village; the five lakes of Ivrea are perfect for nature walks, while Lake Ceresole, at 1,700 meters, offers breathtaking alpine views.

Outdoor sports find their ideal setting here from March to October: trekking and Nordic walking among mountains and hills, rowing on Lake Candia, sailing and windsurfing on Lake Ceresole, canoe slalom on the Dora Baltea in Ivrea, paragliding from Monte Cavallaria, and climbing at Montestrutto.

The region is enriched by castles, churches, historical sites, and a strong gastronomic tradition. Among the local wines, the white Erbaluce DOCG and the red Carema DOC stand out, perfect for those who enjoy discovering the authentic flavors of Piedmont.
