In the heart of Logudoro, in the northwest of Sardinia, lies Rebeccu Arte e Ospitalità, a project that combines hospitality and creativity, stemming from a decade of experience in organizing artistic residencies. Nestled in one of the island's most enchanting medieval villages, a stay here transforms into a journey through nature, archaeology, and memory, where art weaves seamlessly into daily life and the local cultural heritage.

The establishment provides two accommodation options: a hostel featuring a kitchen and shared spaces, including a coworking area with Wi-Fi, as well as nine private cottages with bathrooms that are simple yet well-maintained, designed to ensure essential comfort without compromising the essence of the place. Guests can enjoy a self-service coffee corner, book-crossing, a projector, and board games in an environment that encourages cultural exchange and tranquility. The self-service breakfast includes coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, bread, jams, butter, and cookies.

Rebeccu is more than just a destination; it serves as a space for inspiration and contemplation, suitable for travelers interested in the natural and archaeological wonders of Sardinia, as well as for artists seeking an intimate setting for their work. The hospitality can be tailored to fit anything from a simple vacation to a creative retreat.

The village, now almost uninhabited, retains the charm of a time suspended. Its cobblestone streets, houses clinging to the rock, and the presence of the church and sacred spring evoke an atmosphere rich in historical significance. Once the capital of the Costaval curatoria in the Giudicato of Torres, Rebeccu was a strategic point along a Roman road connecting Cagliari to Olbia. The legends surrounding this place, such as that of Donoria, a princess turned into a jana, whose curse allegedly limited the village's development to no more than thirty houses, add to its magnetic allure.

Staying at Rebeccu means immersing oneself in an intimate and authentic dimension, surrounded by meaningful silences, traces of ancient civilizations, and stunning landscapes. It offers a unique experience capable of resonating deeply and providing fresh perspectives on the world.

Area Collina

Rebeccu is located in the Bonorva area, on a limestone plateau immersed in the untamed nature of Logudoro, in the northwestern part of Sardinia. The village, which is now almost deserted, retains a timeless atmosphere where history, archaeology, and legend intertwine in a landscape of great beauty. Its narrow stone-paved streets, houses clinging to the rocks, and the enveloping silence tell tales of a glorious past, highlighted by its former significance as the capital of the curatoria of Costaval in the Giudicato of Torres.

In the vicinity, there are ancient remnants, including domus de janas, nuraghi, and traces of the Roman road that connected Cagliari to Olbia, affirming the historical importance of the area. Not far away, the archaeological site of Sant’Andrea Priu houses some of the most impressive prehistoric tombs in Sardinia, carved into the rock and adorned with frescoes from Roman and early medieval times. The presence of the rural church and the sacred spring adds a spiritual and mysterious aura to the place.

The region is characterized by gentle hills, forests, and valleys where time seems to flow at a different pace. This almost suspended quality makes Rebeccu an ideal destination for those seeking a deep connection with nature and the ancient memory of Sardinia. The legend of Donoria, the princess who cursed the village, enhances the enchanting atmosphere, blending myth and reality into a captivating balance.

Additionally, its strategic location allows for easy access to other historical and natural sites in Meilogu and Monteacuto, providing opportunities for excursions, cultural visits, and discovery paths away from conventional tourist routes.
