Hey, I'm Vera & Saria

We are Vera and Saria Calabretta, guardians of a story rich in the scent of orange blossoms and traditions. Our love for these lands, situated at the foothills of Mount Etna, stems from a family legacy filled with emotions and deep roots. At the end of the 19th century, our grandfather Rosario Calabretta, who came from a family of citrus exporters, purchased this land and transformed it into a place where lemon cultivation became the vibrant heart of agricultural activity. Even today, many of the plants that beautify the garden are the same ones that our grandfather planted and nurtured with care. In the early 20th century, lemon farming became so dominant in this area of Eastern Sicily that the region was nicknamed the "Lemon Riviera," a name that evokes its fragrance and beauty. In 2000, motivated by the desire to share this special place, we converted the old country houses, which once served as our family's summer retreat, into a welcoming agritourism business. Here, we host our guests, sharing with them the authenticity and charm of a story that is deeply ours. We take great pride in preserving this historic garden and cultivating it according to the principles of organic farming, certified by ICEA, with respect for nature and the traditions passed down to us. Environmental sustainability is at the core of every decision we make, guiding us in enhancing this unique place and preserving it for future generations. Welcoming guests here, in a corner of Sicily that carries memory and authenticity, is our way of celebrating and sharing what we hold most dear.
