Hey, I'm Mariagrazia

My name is Mariagrazia, and I hail from Trieste. In 2012, I opened my B&B in my grandparents' historic home in Castelluzzo, part of the San Vito Lo Capo municipality. I was captivated by the beauty of this enchanting place, where time seems to have stood still and nature is pure and alluring. My goal is to preserve the authenticity of a Sicily that embodies tradition. I love welcoming travelers seeking a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, providing them with the chance to rediscover the beauty of simple yet essential things.

Area Mare

Castelluzzo is a district within the municipality of San Vito Lo Capo, surrounded by a natural landscape that features stretches of ancient olive groves, gentle hills, and a wild, unspoiled coastline. Its ideal location makes it a perfect choice for those looking to experience the most authentic side of Sicily, away from mass tourism, yet still close enough to reach the most famous attractions in the area within a few minutes.

About a kilometer from the property lies the Gulf of Monte Cofano, known for its impressive cliffs and small inlets with crystal-clear waters. One of the most enchanting spots along the coast is Baia Santa Margherita, a stretch of shoreline that has preserved its natural beauty thanks to a ban on vehicular traffic during the summer months. Here, small beaches of sand and pebbles alternate with wind-smoothed rocks, providing perfect nooks for relaxation and swimming in the sea's myriad shades of blue.

Just a short drive away is San Vito Lo Capo, famous for its fine white sandy beach and a lively atmosphere, especially during the summer months. The village is also renowned for its culinary traditions, particularly couscous, which is the star of an international festival that attracts visitors from all over the world each year.

Approximately 15 minutes away is the Zingaro Nature Reserve, a paradise for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Its scenic trails wind through Mediterranean scrub, caves, and small coves that can only be reached on foot or by boat, offering breathtaking views and an immersive experience in the wild nature of western Sicily.

A little over half an hour’s drive will take you to the medieval village of Erice, perched on a mountain and enveloped in a timeless atmosphere, as well as Trapani, with its charming historic center overlooking the salt pans and the Egadi Islands. The salt flats of Trapani and Paceco, with their windmills and water basins reflecting the sky, create unique landscapes, especially at sunset.

Within an hour's travel, you can explore some of Sicily's most iconic locations: Marsala, with its historic wineries and the Stagnone Lagoon; Segesta, home to a perfectly preserved Doric temple; and Palermo, rich in extraordinary artistic and cultural heritage. The Egadi Islands, easily accessible from Trapani, are an excellent option for a day trip among turquoise waters, sea caves, and fishing villages.

Thus, Castelluzzo offers a perfect balance of nature, sea, and culture, providing a relaxing stay while also being rich in opportunities to discover the best of western Sicily.
