The Margitello Estate is situated in the Iblei mountains, at an elevation of about 450 meters, surrounded by a lush landscape filled with carob, almond, and olive trees. Its prime location provides breathtaking views that extend from the Gela plain to the Gulf of Gela, encompassing the hills of central Sicily and the majestic Mount Etna.

The facility, which has been carefully renovated from old farmhouses, features a cozy dining room that accommodates 70 guests and seven double rooms equipped with modern comforts. Located about 400 meters from the main building, there are an additional 14 rooms, including triple and quadruple accommodations, perfect for families or groups. Guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, a ping-pong table, and a play area for children, ensuring relaxation and entertainment for everyone.

The estate serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of Sicily. Ragusa is just 12 km away, while Modica is 22 km distant. Agrigento, Syracuse, and Catania can be reached in about an hour by car, and the sea is merely 25 km away. Nature and history enthusiasts can arrange walking tours to visit the nearby Christian necropolis of Cava Porcaro or plan cultural and recreational itineraries right on-site.

The restaurant at Tenuta Margitello pays tribute to the culinary traditions of Ragusa and Sicily, where each dish tells the story of the region's authentic flavors. Guests can rediscover ancient tastes through a genuine cuisine that relies on self-produced ingredients.

The dinners, crafted with care, feature grilled meats from our cattle farms, fresh cheeses and ricotta, extra virgin olive oil made from the estate's olives, and the sweet oranges from our orchard. Among the typical dishes are the traditional scacce, prepared with various fillings such as tomato and cheese, ricotta and parsley, eggplant and tomato, or potatoes and sausage.

First courses like cavati and ricotta ravioli with pork sauce are strictly made with fresh pasta, following recipes passed down through generations. For the main courses, roasted sausage and stuffed pork chops are served with homemade bread, enhancing the authentic flavors of local cuisine.

To round off the meal, ricotta cannoli are a must, paired with a glass of homemade liqueur like cannellino or limoncello, providing a sweet and unforgettable finale. At the restaurant of Tenuta Margitello, every culinary experience is a journey through the most authentic flavors of Sicily.
