The area surrounding Agritur Due Valli is a true natural gem, located in the heart of Val di Non, one of the most renowned regions for the production of the famous Melinda apples, which are highly valued worldwide. Cis, the small yet charming municipality where our agriturismo is situated, lies at an elevation of 732 meters above sea level, strategically positioned between Val di Non and Val di Sole, two valleys celebrated for their stunning natural beauty and year-round tourist attractions.
The region is particularly well-known for its winter destinations, featuring a ski area that spans over 100 km in Val di Sole and around 40 km in Val di Non. The ski slopes of Folgarida-Marilleva, Passo del Tonale, Val di Pejo, and Andalo Fai della Paganella, along with those at Passo della Mendola and Altipiano della Predaia, provide numerous recreational opportunities for winter sports enthusiasts. Our agriturismo is located just 1 km from the Mostizzolo stop on the Trento-Malè railway line, which takes only a few minutes to reach the Daolasa-Val Mastellina station, from where a convenient cable car leads directly to the Folgarida-Marilleva ski slopes.
In the summer season, the area also offers opportunities for mountain biking, with trails winding through the valley’s apple orchards and more challenging paths for outdoor sports lovers. The Trento-Malè railway is equipped to transport bicycles, making it even more convenient for cyclists, thanks to the extensive network of bike paths in Trentino, which stretches over 4,700 km.
Val di Non, in addition to its breathtaking natural beauty, is rich in history and culture. Visitors can admire numerous castles, some in ruins and others still inhabited. One of the most well-known and well-preserved is Castel Thun, which has been restored and recently opened to the public by the Autonomous Province of Trento. Another historically and religiously significant site is the Sanctuary of San Romedio, perched on an impressive rock in Sanzeno. Founded in the 11th century, the sanctuary comprises a complex of chapels built in different periods and is home to two bears that have become local mascots.
Just a short distance from Cis, the city of Trento, the regional capital, is located about 40 km away. Trento offers a wide range of attractions, including the Romanesque Cathedral, the Buon Consiglio Castle, the Town Hall, and many other historic buildings. Approximately 50 km from Cis are the cities of Bolzano and Merano, both rich in history and artistic beauty. Bolzano is famous for its Gothic Parish Church and the Mercantile Palace, while Merano enchants visitors with its medieval castle and Civic Museum.
This corner of Trentino is thus an ideal destination for those seeking a blend of nature, sports, culture, and history, with the opportunity to explore the region's wonders in every season of the year.
