In Monte Mezza, located in the heart of the eastern Lagorai and just 3 km from Cinte Tesino, there is an ancient mountain farmhouse that has been completely renovated. The Braus family has decided to open a bed and breakfast to share their story and provide genuine hospitality to those looking to explore the diverse beauty of Trentino. Nestled in tranquility and nature, the establishment features themed rooms inspired by local historical figures: the farmer, the knife grinder, and the itinerant vendor. Each room is decorated with original vintage items, ensuring guests enjoy a unique and enchanting experience.

The accommodations, each with a private entrance, come equipped with a private bathroom, a kettle with tea and herbal infusions, satellite TV, a mini-fridge, a hairdryer, and bed and bath linens. Outside, there is a spacious green area, a garden, a barbecue (not available in winter), and a space with a microwave and utensils, allowing guests to feel at home, even during dinner. A shared kitchen with the owners is also available at no extra cost.

The farmhouse is particularly environmentally conscious, featuring a geothermal system, underfloor heating, LED lighting, insulated windows, and water-saving systems, exemplifying sustainable hospitality. Additionally, there is a continuous effort to promote the local area and traditions through collaborations with the Quality B&B Association in Trentino and initiatives like Arte Sella.

Breakfast is one of the highlights of the establishment, offering homemade options that include local pastries—such as strudel, tarts, apple cake, and the braided mochena bread—alongside cured meats and cheeses from the region, honey, artisanal jams, natural juices, and freshly made yogurt. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available, with packaged products and fresh preparations offered upon request. Guests with dietary restrictions are encouraged to inform the hosts at the time of booking.

The B&B warmly welcomes families, providing amenities such as a camping cot, changing table, bed rails, unbreakable dishware, a play area, books, and toys for all ages, along with special rates. Pets are also welcome at no additional cost; they can roam freely in the surrounding lawn as long as they are well-behaved and respectful of other guests.

Those traveling along the Retic Path will find this establishment a cozy stopover, with free transfers to and from Tesino. The philosophy of the trail, which traverses Veneto and Trentino amidst history, nature, and culture, is wholeheartedly embraced by the Braus family, who passionately share and celebrate the heritage of their valley.

Annalisa, the host, is eager to greet you with warmth. She enjoys cooking, reading, tending to her garden, and engaging in volunteer work. Her hospitality reflects a love for the mountains and the traditions that make this corner of Trentino a special place. Here, every detail is designed to make you feel more than just a guest: you become part of a story to be experienced, step by step.

Area Collina

Our bed and breakfast is located in Monte Mezza, a small tranquil spot suspended between the sky and forests in the beautiful Tesino Valley. Just 3 kilometers from the village of Cinte Tesino, the farmhouse is surrounded by an untouched mountainous landscape where nature reigns supreme, and life moves at a slow, rejuvenating pace. Here, the seasons unfold authentically, offering a variety of colors, scents, and atmospheres: summer invites you to hike through the woods and cycle along the trails of the Cammino Retico, while winter envelops everything in a soft silence, perfect for those seeking peace and relaxation.

The area is a hub of history and culture: from these valleys emerged iconic figures such as the Perteganti and Moléta, traders and sharpeners who traveled across Europe carrying traditions and ingenuity with them. Just a few kilometers away is Arte Sella, an enchanting contemporary art pathway nestled in the forest, where nature and creativity blend into unique works. For those who appreciate spirituality and meditation, the Lagorai Buddhist Temple is also nearby, a stop on a zen path filled with silence, barefoot walks, and a deep connection to the environment.

Monte Mezza is the perfect starting point to explore the most authentic Trentino, away from crowded tourist routes, yet rich in genuine experiences: hikes among mountain huts and pastures, tastings of local products, visits to the villages of Tesino, and much more. It’s an ideal place for those looking to reconnect with nature and the simplicity of genuine things.
