Overlooking the Valdichiana, in a scenic location among the olive trees of Castiglion Fiorentino, Borgo tra gli Olivi is an agriturismo that combines genuine hospitality, a family atmosphere, and a focus on well-being. This property, owned by the same family for four generations, consists of four stone farmhouses set within a 600-olive organic estate. After a sustainably-focused renovation that honors tradition, the borgo reopened in 2015, now offering a charming stay in a nature-friendly environment.

The main house features a welcoming area on the ground floor, with a breakfast room, kitchen, and a cozy lounge with a fireplace. The owners reside on the upper floor, always available to assist with any needs. The six guest rooms are located in adjacent structures, all of which are spacious, inviting, and furnished with restored original elements: old doors, rustic furniture, and olive collection crates. Each room includes a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, a kettle, minibar, Wi-Fi, and a courtesy set of natural olive oil-based products. Some rooms have independent entrances, garden access, or can be converted into mini-suites perfect for families.

Guests also have access to a panoramic pool equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, offering stunning views of the valley. In a wellness corner created from a former barn, visitors can unwind with a hammam, wine therapy, or treatments using extra virgin olive oil.

Every morning, a traditional Tuscan breakfast featuring homemade products is served: cakes, cookies, bread, jams, yogurt, juices, and seasonal fruits, accompanied by local cured meats, pecorino cheese, and eggs. During the summer months, breakfast is offered in the garden, providing a relaxing and fragrant natural setting.

Those who enjoy socializing can join cooking classes, olive oil tastings, and tours of local wineries. For art and hiking enthusiasts, the borgo serves as an excellent starting point to explore Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, and Florence, as well as the medieval villages and castles dotting the hills.

The essence of Borgo tra gli Olivi lies in the joy of hospitality, with the desire to make every guest feel like a friend on vacation in Tuscany. Even Grigiona, the resident cat and the establishment's mascot, warmly greets visitors arriving from all corners of the world.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast at Borgo tra gli Olivi is a moment of true enjoyment, designed to start the day with flavor and simplicity. Each morning, a buffet is set up featuring an abundance of Tuscan flavors, including homemade cakes, cookies, and bread, artisanal jams, yogurt, fruit juices, organic cereals, and seasonal fruits.

You will also find typical cheeses and cured meats from the region, hard-boiled eggs from local farms, organic honey, and products sourced directly from the farm. This is all complemented by coffee, cappuccino, and hot beverages, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

During the pleasant season, breakfast is served outdoors in the garden, surrounded by the scents of the countryside and the view over the Valdichiana. It’s a simple yet well-crafted experience that reflects the authenticity of Tuscan hospitality.

Hey, I'm Lucia

Alberto is the warm and welcoming spirit of Borgo tra gli Olivi. He lives on the first floor of the main house with Lucia and their son Matteo, always ready to share a genuine smile, offer suggestions on what to see, or serve a slice of freshly baked cake. He enjoys connecting with people from all over the world and views each encounter as an opportunity for mutual exchange and enrichment. His love for Tuscan tradition is evident in every aspect of the Borgo, from the carefully restored furniture to the homemade breakfasts prepared with wholesome ingredients and family stories. With an authentic approach that respects the environment, Alberto treats his guests like old friends, ensuring everyone feels at home amidst the greenery of the olive trees and the beauty of Valdichiana.

Area Collina

The Valdichiana Aretina is a picturesque area in Tuscany where the landscape tells stories of centuries-old history and agricultural traditions. It is a vast and fertile valley, shaped over time by the skilled hands of sharecroppers, dotted with ancient olive groves, orderly vineyards, and cultivated fields that shift colors with the changing seasons.

In this harmonious setting, one can find charming medieval villages like Castiglion Fiorentino, with its towers and cobbled streets; Lucignano, known for its unique elliptical shape; Monte San Savino; and of course, Cortona, one of the oldest towns in Italy, where Etruscan heritage blends with Renaissance influences.

This region is ideal for those who enjoy slow tourism, featuring strolls through the hills, bike rides, visits to wineries and olive oil mills, or simply moments of contemplation while watching the sunset cast a golden hue over the countryside.

The area also serves as a perfect hub for exploring artistic cities such as Arezzo, Siena, Florence, Perugia, and Assisi, all easily accessible by car. Nearby, you can also find Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino—places that hold artistic treasures, rich flavors, and unforgettable views.

In addition to its natural and cultural beauty, the Valdichiana boasts a deep gastronomic identity: aglione, Chianina beef, and extra virgin olive oil are just a few of the exceptional products that emerge from this fruitful relationship between humanity and nature. It is an authentic territory to be experienced with all the senses.
