Just a few minutes from the center of Colle Val d’Elsa, nestled among the Tuscan hills and the tranquility of nature, stands the Agriturismo Fattoria Nerbona, an authentic retreat for rejuvenation and a chance to reconnect with the slow rhythms of rural life. The estate spans 600 hectares, crisscrossed by trails and breathtaking views, ideal for walking or cycling, all set in one of Italy’s most beautiful agricultural landscapes.

The agriturismo consists of two buildings: the main one, Nerbona, and La Casina, located about one and a half kilometers away. The first features twelve apartments, two bedrooms, the elegant Villa Aia, and a swimming pool, along with a reception area, a consecrated chapel, a caretaker's house, barbecue areas, and play spaces for both children and adults. Guests can take advantage of a fully equipped kitchen and a restaurant, which can be used for self-catering or with the assistance of chefs and catering services, making the facility perfect for larger groups of up to 60 people.

A short walk through the woods leads to La Casina, a quaint and charming spot with five apartments and a second panoramic swimming pool. Here, there are also designated areas for relaxation and outdoor play. La Casina can accommodate up to 24 guests, providing a more intimate atmosphere surrounded by greenery.

Each accommodation is unique, converted from old rural buildings and furnished in a rustic style, featuring fully equipped kitchens, private outdoor spaces with tables and chairs, and some options suitable for guests with mobility challenges. The pools are open from April to September, depending on weather conditions, and bicycle rental is complimentary. For hiking enthusiasts, both paper and digital maps are available for exploring the surroundings, including sections of the Via Francigena.

The location is strategically placed for visiting some of Tuscany's most beloved destinations such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, Siena, Florence, Pisa, and the Chianti region, as well as lesser-known villages like Mensano, Casole d’Elsa, or Radicondoli, which preserve the charm of bygone eras.

Elena and Cristina warmly welcome guests, providing a constant source of support throughout the stay. Their goal is to make you feel at home in an authentic place where time stretches, and every detail encourages relaxation and tranquility.
Rooms and Rates
The Agriturismo Fattoria Nerbona does not typically provide breakfast as a standard service. However, in certain situations, arrangements can be made during the booking process to accommodate meals based on the needs of guests or groups. For those opting for a self-catering option, each apartment is equipped with a fully functional kitchen, perfect for independently preparing breakfast and other meals, allowing guests to enjoy the freedom and relaxed pace of rural life.
The agriturismo features an on-site restaurant that seamlessly blends with the rustic and welcoming atmosphere of the estate. Guests have the option to use the kitchen independently or to rely on a private chef or catering service, which is perfect for group lunches and dinners or special occasions. Here, you can enjoy the freedom of a meal prepared to your liking, using fresh and local ingredients, all while surrounded by the serene greenery. For larger groups, there is the option to rent out the entire dining space and organize meals according to your preferences. Regardless of the choice, the aim remains the same: to provide you with a friendly, simple, and authentic experience that highlights the flavors and camaraderie typical of the Tuscan countryside.

Area Campagna

The area where Agriturismo Fattoria Nerbona is located is a special corner of central Tuscany, nestled among the gentle hills of the Val d’Elsa in the province of Siena. Here, the countryside is interspersed with forests, vineyards, and olive groves, offering views that shift with the seasons while preserving the charm of the ancient Tuscan agricultural landscape.

Just a five-minute drive away are Colle di Val d’Elsa and Casole d’Elsa, two authentic villages worth visiting. Colle, known for its crystal production and rich medieval history, is divided into a historic upper section and a modern lower section, both connected by a convenient panoramic elevator. In contrast, Casole is a small gem set in greenery, celebrated for its artistic spirit and tranquil atmosphere, characterized by narrow alleys, quiet corners, and artisan shops.

Nerbona's location is also perfect for easily accessing some of Tuscany's most iconic destinations. In about 15 minutes, you can reach San Gimignano, the famous "Medieval Manhattan" with its soaring towers. In just over twenty minutes, you can arrive at Monteriggioni, with its well-preserved walls, and Siena, a city rich in art and tradition famous for the Palio and its Piazza del Campo. Florence is less than an hour away, as are Volterra, Montalcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano, all surrounded by vineyards and scenic roads.

Nature lovers and trekkers can explore the many trails in the vicinity, including sections of the historic Via Francigena, which traverses the area and offers spectacular views. On clear days, from the hill where La Casina stands, you can see the towers of San Gimignano rising on the horizon.

The region is also home to charming, lesser-known villages such as Mensano and Radicondoli, where time seems to stand still. These places allow visitors to rediscover a lost authenticity amidst unspoiled landscapes, Romanesque churches, farming traditions, and a cuisine that evokes home and the seasons.

Staying at Nerbona means experiencing a more secluded side of Tuscany, characterized by white roads, cypress trees, and tranquility, yet always just a step away from unforgettable art, culture, and flavors.
