Nerbona's location is also perfect for easily accessing some of Tuscany's most iconic destinations. In about 15 minutes, you can reach San Gimignano, the famous "Medieval Manhattan" with its soaring towers. In just over twenty minutes, you can arrive at Monteriggioni, with its well-preserved walls, and Siena, a city rich in art and tradition famous for the Palio and its Piazza del Campo. Florence is less than an hour away, as are Volterra, Montalcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano, all surrounded by vineyards and scenic roads.
Nature lovers and trekkers can explore the many trails in the vicinity, including sections of the historic Via Francigena, which traverses the area and offers spectacular views. On clear days, from the hill where La Casina stands, you can see the towers of San Gimignano rising on the horizon.
