However, there is some good news! The property is located just a short distance from the historic center of Siena, only 1.5 km from Piazza del Campo. Nearby, you will find cafes, restaurants, and a grocery store, starting at the beginning of our street, which is just over 200 meters away.

Additionally, we have created a cozy common area, featuring a gazebo with sliding glass doors, a coffee machine, an electric kettle, and a microwave. Guests can feel at home by preparing their own breakfasts and enjoying moments of relaxation.

Area Fuori le mura

Podere Il Pero is situated in a prime location, at the edge of a green area that foreshadows the stunning beauty of the Sienese countryside, while still being just a short walk from Siena's historic center. Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral can be reached on foot in about twenty minutes, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the city's unique atmosphere without the need for a car. For those who prefer public transport, a bus stop is located just 250 meters from the property, with frequent connections every fifteen minutes. Nearby, there are also a bank, several shops, and restaurants, making the stay even more convenient.

The bus station is about two kilometers away and is located not far from the train station. The Policlinico Le Scotte hospital can be reached in under ten minutes by car, which is useful for those traveling for health or work reasons.

Just a short drive away, there are several historic and artistic gems nestled in the tranquility of the Sienese countryside. Continuing along the Strada di Montalbuccio, one can reach the Belcaro Castle, the Lecceto Hermitage, and the San Leonardo al Lago Hermitage in about five minutes, all of which are captivating destinations ideal for those seeking peace and spirituality.

Thanks to the nearby ring road, some of the most famous Tuscan destinations can be easily accessed. Heading north, Florence is approximately 65 km away, while charming towns such as San Gimignano (35 minutes), Monteriggioni (15 minutes), Colle di Val d’Elsa (20 minutes), Certaldo (40 minutes), and Volterra (under an hour) offer picturesque views and a rich historical heritage. To the south, Arezzo can be reached in an hour and Rome in about two and a half hours. For those wanting a day at the beach, the Tyrrhenian coast is about an hour and a half away.

The surrounding area is also perfect for culinary explorations and breathtaking landscapes. Traveling along the Cassia road, one can cross the Val d'Arbia to reach Montalcino in 40 minutes and the Val d'Orcia, with its treasures like Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, and Bagno Vignoni, in around 45 minutes. Wine lovers and fans of the Chianti hills can take the Strada Statale 222 Chiantigiana, which leads to Castellina in Chianti, Greve, Radda, Gaiole, and Castelnuovo Berardenga in 30-45 minutes, perfect for tastings and tours through vineyards and medieval villages.

Finally, in about 20 minutes by car, one can arrive at the Crete Senesi, an area of unique charm with its rolling landscapes and clayey soils, ideal for those who appreciate unspoiled scenery and timeless atmospheres.
