The area where Fastuc B&B is located serves as a natural crossroads between the plains and the mountains, blending the tranquility of meadows and forests with the proximity to charming cities and attractions. At the foot of Monte Dolada lies the Alpago, a green plateau dotted with small villages, dense woods, and grassy clearings that invite hiking, walking, and outdoor sports activities. From here, trails lead to mountain huts and high-altitude routes, including the Alta Via No. 7 of the Dolomites, popular among experienced hikers.
Not far away is Lake Santa Croce, a favorite spot for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and sailing enthusiasts, as well as those simply seeking relaxation by the water or a prime fishing location. Further on, one encounters the more secluded and picturesque Lake Corlo, along with Valbelluna, known for its charming villages, frescoed churches, and gentle landscapes that follow the course of the Piave River.
The region is marked by two significant natural parks: the National Park of the Belluno Dolomites and the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park, both UNESCO World Heritage sites, which protect wild nature, scenic paths, and pristine environments. Not far away stretches the Cansiglio forest, the ancient wood from which the Serenissima extracted timber for its ships, now an ideal spot for walks, wildlife watching, and traditional events.
From the B&B, it’s easy to reach the Prosecco hills, also recognized by UNESCO, with their vineyards and picturesque villages. In just over an hour, one can choose to head towards Cortina d’Ampezzo and the more famous Dolomites or travel down towards Venice and its lagoon.
This area alternates between wild nature and culture, sports and relaxation, making it suitable for both adventure lovers and those who wish to enjoy slow and authentic rhythms. Each season offers different colors and experiences: from the autumn mists in the woods to the blooming meadows in spring, from the breezy summer that enlivens the lakes to the winter snow that transforms the landscape into an alpine postcard.
