In the serene setting of Fornesighe, a small village made of stone and wood in the heart of Val di Zoldo, Locanda Nona Giò welcomes its guests with the warmth of Jasmeen and Giuseppe. After their time in Copenhagen, where he honed his culinary skills and she mastered sourdough baking, they decided to bring back to Italy a concept of hospitality that blends simplicity, taste, and creativity, while honoring seasonal ingredients and the value of local produce.

The restaurant offers dishes inspired by Venetian tradition and beyond, featuring fresh fish from the lagoon, selected meats from the foothills, mountain cheeses, eggs from nearby farms, and garden vegetables. Everything is made in-house, from the bread to the daily specials, complemented by a selection of wines that ranges from classic labels of the Triveneto region to natural wines resulting from spontaneous fermentation. Guests can enjoy their meals in the intimate dining room next to the fireplace or on the terrace with a view of the Dolomites.

Above the restaurant, there are two recently renovated rooms. Wanda is spacious and bright, featuring a living area, a well-equipped corner, a double bedroom, and a panoramic balcony. Giovanna, smaller yet equally inviting, offers a private terrace furnished for relaxation with a view of the mountain peaks. Both rooms are spread over two levels, ensuring independence and comfort, with the option to request breakfast in the room or access the buffet in the panoramic hall.

Nestled between Monte Pelmo and Civetta, Val di Zoldo boasts unspoiled and tranquil landscapes, far from the more crowded tourist paths. Here, each season brings its own colors and fragrances, and at Locanda Nona Giò, your stay transforms into an experience that combines authentic flavors, genuine hospitality, and the charm of the Dolomites.
Rooms and Rates
Guests have the option to request an in-room breakfast featuring coffee, tea, toast, butter, and jams, or they can opt for the buffet breakfast served in a bright room overlooking the mountains, priced at €13 per person and €6 for children under 6 years old.
The restaurant at Locanda Nona Giò offers a cuisine that blends flavor, elegance, and creativity, while maintaining the purity of ingredients and adhering to seasonal availability. The menu features traditional Venetian dishes as well as selected specialties from other culinary traditions, prepared with fresh fish from the lagoon, meats from the foothills, mountain cheeses, eggs from local farms, and vegetables from gardens or small local businesses. Everything is made in-house, including the bread, and is complemented by a wine list that ranges from classic labels of the Triveneto region to naturally fermented wines. Guests can enjoy their meals in a cozy dining room with a fireplace or on the panoramic terrace overlooking the Dolomites.

Hey, I'm Jasmeen

The Nona Giò Inn is run by Jasmeen and Giuseppe, a couple who met in Copenhagen, where he worked as a chef and she as a baker and pastry chef, specializing in sourdough fermentation. After years of experience abroad, they decided to return to Italy to create a project that combines hospitality with high-quality cuisine, emphasizing authentic ingredients and the natural rhythm of the seasons.

Area Campagna

Fornesighe is an ancient mountain village located in the Val di Zoldo, in the province of Belluno, nestled between Mount Pelmo and Civetta, at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. Its stone and wooden houses, flower-adorned balconies, and narrow alleys preserve the charm of a bygone era, providing an authentic atmosphere far from mass tourism.

The area is a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts: in summer, hiking trails wind through forests of firs and larches, meadows, and high-altitude vistas, while in winter, the nearby Ski Civetta slopes offer days filled with skiing and snow sports. The surroundings also hold typical traditions and flavors, from local festivals to handcrafted products from the mountain huts.

Set in an unspoiled landscape, Fornesighe offers tranquility, clean air, and starry skies, making it the perfect starting point to explore Val di Zoldo, the Belluno Dolomites, and the myriad experiences these mountains provide throughout the year.
