Nestled among the vineyards that overlook the Medieval Village of Castell’Arquato, this little piece of paradise welcomes guests into an authentic and charming setting. The three rooms, each with a private entrance, feature wooden floors on the first floor and ceramic tiles on the ground floor, along with wrought-iron beds and antique furniture. The bathrooms provide a view of the surrounding nature, which includes gardens, vineyards, meadows, and forests.

Breakfast is a leisurely experience, served in a small room next to the East and West rooms, where a refrigerator, kettle, and coffee maker are always available. For those seeking more independence, there is an option to use the private kitchen on the ground floor. The essence of local traditions is reflected in every detail, with homemade local pastries, but without brioche, to maintain authenticity.

Hospitality here is a way of life. Every space, from the vineyard to the cellar, is shared with guests to convey the passion for wine and its traditions. Tastings begin with a walk among the vines and in the cellar, where wine takes center stage, accompanied by selected local products from the Val d’Arda: artisanal bread, cold cuts, and cheeses from local farms, as well as olive oil, honey, and fruit nectars. Lunches and dinners for small groups can be arranged, always paired with the house wines and respecting seasonal ingredients and regional recipes.

The location is ideal for nature and history enthusiasts. Situated just 800 meters from the village center, the property is connected to cycling routes and walking paths for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding. Nearby, you can find medieval villages and castles such as Gropparello, Vigoleno, San Pietro in Cerro, Scipione, Paderna, Bobbio, and Bardi, as well as the Roman ruins of Velaja Romana. The renowned spas of Salsomaggiore and Tabiano are located 19 and 32 km away, respectively.

Easily accessible, the property is located 10 km from the Fiorenzuola highway exit and train station, 22 km from Fidenza, and a short distance from Parma, Piacenza, and Milan. It is the perfect retreat for those seeking a connection with nature and the timeless beauty of the Piacenza hills.
Rooms and Rates
My breakfast is a wish for a day of relaxation surrounded by the beauty of the countryside.

You can have breakfast at a time that suits you best. Feel free to enjoy your pajamas or bathrobe without needing to leave your room.

Upon waking up, you will find a delightful Italian breakfast set out on the table. Please note that the brioche is not a local specialty, so we encourage you to explore the true delicacies of our tradition.

You will have the chance to savor our famous ring cake, as well as the classic almond or chocolate cake, which are undoubtedly superior.

Hey, I'm Laura

Discover Montepascolo, a captivating place in every season! The view of the charming village is truly breathtaking, and at sunset, you can enjoy a unique and enchanting atmosphere. The scenic road leads directly to our courtyard, providing you with immediate access to this beautiful corner. Our hills, steeped in millennia of history, tell stories that can be felt in the very soil. In 2012, my mother and I made the decision to open the doors of this little paradise to share it with those who, like us, are passionate about nature, its tranquility, and the aromas that enhance breakfast, accompanying you during your stay at Montepascolo.

Area Collina

The establishment is nestled in the heart of the Piacenza hills, surrounded by vineyards and landscapes that offer breathtaking views in every season. Just 800 meters from the center of Castell’Arquato, one of Italy's most charming medieval villages, the area presents a perfect balance of history, nature, and culinary traditions.

Castell’Arquato is situated on a scenic ridge and retains its medieval essence. The cobblestone streets lead to the Visconti Fortress, the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Palazzo del Podestà, all authentic remnants of a glorious past. The village is an ideal spot for strolls among artisan shops, wine cellars, and restaurants serving local dishes and wines. Nearby, numerous castles and fortified villages can be found, including Vigoleno, Gropparello, San Pietro in Cerro, Scipione, Paderna, Bobbio, and Bardi. Each of these places tells stories from distant eras, rich in legends, impressive architecture, and living traditions.

The Piacenza hills are also renowned for their gastronomic excellence. Viticulture is an integral part of local culture, producing fine wines such as Gutturnio, Bonarda, and Ortrugo, which can be sampled in the many wineries in the region. The cuisine features authentic flavors with specialties like Piacenza salami, coppa, pancetta, pisarei and fasò, tortelli with tail, and anolini in broth. Every meal becomes a journey through traditional flavors, enhanced by the quality of local ingredients.

For nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The trails wind through vineyards, forests, and hills, providing unforgettable views. The scenic road leading to the establishment, though unpaved, connects to cycling paths and trails perfect for those wishing to explore the area at a leisurely pace. Just a few kilometers away are the thermal baths of Salsomaggiore and Tabiano, ideal for those seeking relaxation and wellness.

Despite the secluded and nature-immersed atmosphere, the establishment is easily accessible. The Fiorenzuola d’Arda motorway exit and the train station are only ten kilometers away, while Fidenza is twenty-two kilometers distant, featuring its train station and a well-known outlet for shopping enthusiasts. Parma is fifty-seven kilometers away, Piacenza forty-one, and Milan about one hundred kilometers, making this destination reachable even for those coming from afar.

Staying in this area means stepping into a world suspended in time, where the beauty of nature merges with history and authentic flavors. The slow pace of the countryside, warm hospitality, and the allure of medieval villages make every visit a unique and unforgettable experience.
