In 2012, my mother and I made the decision to open the doors of this little paradise to share it with those who, like us, are passionate about nature, its tranquility, and the aromas that enhance breakfast, accompanying you during your stay at Montepascolo.

The establishment is nestled in the heart of the Piacenza hills, surrounded by vineyards and landscapes that offer breathtaking views in every season. Just 800 meters from the center of Castell’Arquato, one of Italy's most charming medieval villages, the area presents a perfect balance of history, nature, and culinary traditions.

Castell’Arquato is situated on a scenic ridge and retains its medieval essence. The cobblestone streets lead to the Visconti Fortress, the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Palazzo del Podestà, all authentic remnants of a glorious past. The village is an ideal spot for strolls among artisan shops, wine cellars, and restaurants serving local dishes and wines. Nearby, numerous castles and fortified villages can be found, including Vigoleno, Gropparello, San Pietro in Cerro, Scipione, Paderna, Bobbio, and Bardi. Each of these places tells stories from distant eras, rich in legends, impressive architecture, and living traditions.

The Piacenza hills are also renowned for their gastronomic excellence. Viticulture is an integral part of local culture, producing fine wines such as Gutturnio, Bonarda, and Ortrugo, which can be sampled in the many wineries in the region. Despite the secluded and nature-immersed atmosphere, the establishment is easily accessible. The Fiorenzuola d’Arda motorway exit and the train station are only ten kilometers away, while Fidenza is twenty-two kilometers distant, featuring its train station and a well-known outlet for shopping enthusiasts. Parma is fifty-seven kilometers away, Piacenza forty-one, and Milan about one hundred kilometers, making this destination reachable even for those coming from afar.
