Nestled in the tranquility of the gentle hills of the Marche region, the “Tenuta San Marcello” Agriturismo and Winery with Kitchen is a stylish family-run retreat that emerged from a desire to rediscover the importance of time, nature, and heritage. Located in San Marcello di Jesi, at the heart of rural Marche, this project took shape in 2009 when a Milanese family decided to leave the city behind to embrace a new lifestyle in harmony with the environment and local traditions.
The property comprises three buildings, carefully renovated using eco-friendly construction methods from an ancient farmhouse, enhanced with modern and sustainable solutions. The living spaces include eight different types of rooms and four independent apartments, all spacious and bright, designed to meet the needs of various guests, from couples to large families. Some accommodations can be connected to provide more space and additional amenities.
A panoramic saltwater pool, free of chlorine, overlooks the hillside and offers stunning views of the vineyards and surrounding landscape. The meticulously maintained garden is filled with flowers and peaceful corners for relaxation. The interior decor, inspired by the colors of the hills and the sea, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The farmhouse features five rooms and one apartment, along with a shared kitchen and a lounge area with a fireplace and a small library, perfect for moments of reading or conversation. The former Barn and former Garage provide additional apartments and rooms with private pergolas and flexible layouts, ideal for ensuring privacy and independence.
The philosophy of Tenuta San Marcello is rooted in genuine hospitality and environmentally conscious management. Geothermal and photovoltaic systems, rainwater harvesting, and the reuse of heat from grape fermentation for hot water production are just a few of the sustainability-focused choices made.
The Winery passionately produces indigenous wines such as Lacrima di Morro d'Alba and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, cultivated without artificial interventions. The dishes served at the Osteria are seasonal and crafted from locally sourced ingredients, selected in collaboration with small local producers.
