Agriturismo Cascina Prato is located in the heart of Alta Langa, in Cravanzana, surrounded by forests and hazelnut groves owned by the family that has been running the establishment for generations. The farmhouse, built in 1808 and in family ownership since the early 20th century, is now a family-run facility that combines hospitality, traditional cuisine, and a genuine focus on sustainability.

The atmosphere resembles that of a true countryside home, where guests can unwind in the greenery, enjoy a common lounge, a spacious garden, and a panoramic terrace. Breakfast features authentic flavors with homemade pastries, jams produced on-site, and local cheeses and cured meats. The restaurant offers dishes from the Piedmontese tradition, prepared with zero-kilometer ingredients sourced from the farmhouse's garden and orchard, along with their own hazelnuts. Tajarin, agnolotti al plin, rabbit tuna, roasted guinea fowl, and the famous hazelnut cake are just a few of the specialties available.

The location is perfect for nature enthusiasts and outdoor activities. The agriturismo is situated along two major hiking routes: the Grande Traversata delle Langhe and the Anello della Nocciola, which traverse scenic landscapes and forests, also accessible by mountain bike with charging stations for e-bikes. The hospitality is also designed for families with children, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing stay for everyone.

Cascina Prato offers an authentic rural experience, where the connection to the land is felt through the cuisine, outdoor activities, and the simple, genuine hospitality of the family that runs it.

Hey, I'm Debora

The management of Agriturismo Cascina Prato is family-run and currently involves three generations. The family, who has owned the farmhouse since the early 1900s, personally oversees every aspect of hospitality, from agricultural production to cooking, while preserving the traditions of Alta Langa. The welcome is warm and casual: guests receive attentive care and are guided to explore the authentic flavors and experiences of the area.

Area Campagna

Agriturismo Cascina Prato is located in Cravanzana, at the heart of Alta Langa, an authentic area that remains relatively untouched by mass tourism. Here, hills alternate with forests and expanses of hazelnut groves, creating a landscape of rare beauty. Cravanzana is known as the "hazelnut town," a mark of agricultural excellence that defines not only the local cuisine but also the culture and traditions of the community.

This region is ideal for nature lovers, offering numerous hiking trails, including the Great Langhe Crossing (GTL) and the Hazelnut Loop, a route of about 8 kilometers that meanders through scenic landscapes of woods and farms. Both trails are suitable for trekking and mountain biking, with the option to access e-bike charging stations.

Alta Langa is also a land of gastronomic excellence. In addition to hazelnuts, the area is famous for its mountain cheeses, quality meats, and prestigious wines from the nearby Barolo and Barbaresco regions. The small medieval villages, rich in history and picturesque views, provide opportunities for authentic experiences, including fairs, festivals, and markets featuring local products.

From the agriturismo, it is easy to reach culturally and naturally significant destinations, while the tranquility of the countryside and the warmth of local hospitality allow for rejuvenation, enveloping visitors in a genuine atmosphere that reflects the deep connection between people and their land.
