Nestled in the tranquility of the Piedmont hills, Agriturismo La Neira welcomes guests into an authentic, family-oriented environment that honors nature. The farmhouse is located just a few kilometers from Asti, atop a hill surrounded by five hectares of land cultivated using natural methods. Here, time slows down, and each day invites you to relish the silence, the scents of the garden, and the views of the surrounding landscape.

The four rooms, which overlook the farmland, are simply and warmly furnished. Two of them have private bathrooms, while the other two share a spacious bathroom. Breakfast, always included, is abundant and wholesome, featuring local yogurt, cured meats and cheeses, homemade bread, jams, and honey from the on-site apiary. On sunny days, breakfast is served outdoors; in winter, guests gather in the breakfast room warmed by a fireplace. Dinner is available upon reservation, with a menu that changes nightly, making use of seasonal produce from the garden and highlighting the farm's cultivated products.

The property offers numerous relaxation areas equipped with loungers, umbrellas, and shaded spots for reading, resting, or chatting. There are also board games, a bocce court, a small swimming pond, and hiking trails that weave through the natural reserves of Valleandona and Valle Botto. Nearby, you can find a riding stable for horseback riding and a small spa open to the public.

For those wishing to explore local delicacies, a visit to the Rovero winery, a long-time partner of the establishment, is recommended, as well as stops at Agrisalumeria Luiset and Agrilatteria Del Pianalto. Asti, with its historic center and wine-related events and the Palio, as well as Alba, known for its white truffles and wines from the Langhe, are easily accessible by car. Turin is also just an hour away.

The establishment is run by Carla, who grew up on this hill and is now a full-time cook and farmer, along with her husband Anders, an Australian who is passionate about beekeeping and gardening. They are joined by Carla's father, René, the founder of the business, who still helps tend to the garden. Their two dogs, Tonka and Luna, complete the family, always ready to bring joy to the guests.

Agriturismo La Neira is a simple and genuine retreat where you can rediscover the slow pace of the land and feel, even if just for a few days, like part of a family.
Rooms and Rates
Breakfast at Agriturismo La Neira is a special experience, designed to start the day with flavor and authenticity. It is served outdoors during the pleasant months or in the cozy dining room with a fireplace during the cooler times of the year. Guests can enjoy yogurt, cheeses, and cold cuts sourced from local producers, accompanied by homemade bread made with sourdough, the farm's jams, and honey from their own beehives. When available, seasonal fresh fruit and homemade pastries are also offered, providing a wake-up that reflects the genuine tastes of the region.
Dinner at Agriturismo La Neira offers an intimate and friendly experience, exclusively for overnight guests. Each evening, with prior reservation, a different menu is presented that aligns with the seasons and highlights the produce grown on the farm. Freshly harvested vegetables from the garden take center stage in simple yet flavorful dishes, meticulously prepared by Carla and paired with selected local wines.

The meal begins with an appetizer and a starter, followed by a main course and a dessert, all served in the cozy indoor dining area or, on pleasant evenings, outside under warm lights and candles. The cuisine reflects the essence of the place: authentic, nature-respecting, and designed to make every guest feel at home.

Hey, I'm Carla Maria

Carla is the heart and soul of Agriturismo La Neira. Raised on this hill surrounded by the lush landscapes of Piedmont, she returned to Asti after gaining life experiences and training in Australia and Italy to continue the project started by her parents in 1986. A passionate cook, she warmly welcomes guests, pays attention to every detail in the kitchen, and loves to share the produce from her land. By her side is Anders, her husband from Australia, who is now the operational hub of the farm. He manages the beehives, the garden, maintenance, and international hospitality, bringing a cosmopolitan spirit and a natural affinity for human connection. Supporting them is René, Carla's father and the historical memory of the farmhouse, who enthusiastically continues to share his experience and work in the garden. Together, they form a close-knit and welcoming family that opens the doors of their home with authenticity and passion.
