A brand new agri-tourism facility built on a restored old farm was opened the past year and is happy to welcome you.

The double-bed rooms are furnished with poor-style furniture and wrought iron beds, and are provided with every mod cons: TV, air conditioning, warmer and bathroom.

The restaurant hall, warmed in the winter with a nice fireplace, has only 50 seats, as a guarantee of the quality of the service and of the intimate atmosphere that guests can enjoy at "Il Granaio".

All the dishes, rigorously belonging to the rich and savoury local cuisine, are prepared in the farmhouse kitchen.

The "Granaio" menu proposes simple country appetizers with the traditional Modican "scacce", made with tomato, parsley or ricotta; the first dishes are the "cavati alla norma" and the "ravioli al sugo di maiale"; second dishes are "costata or salsiccia arrosto" and "coniglio alla stimpirata", with plenty of fresh vegetables; finally, after fruit or sweet, there's still room for an, obviously Sicilian, "gelo al limone".

It is important to mention that all the meat comes from the very farm breeding.

One of the owners, Giovanni Di Raimondo, will always suggest, and even follow you to the best tours on the area. And in the summer you will find seats and beach umbrellas available on the stunning beach of Sampieri (only 20 km away from "Il Granaio"), with its golden Saharan sand, blown by the wind over the South-East coast of Sicily.

We only wish we could have stayed longer. Agriturismo Il Granaio was a fantastic tranquil break from a busy schedule of driving and touring In Sicily. Their fragrant gardens are outstanding and the soothing songs of the many birds around the property made us feel we were in paradise. This is a family run Bed and Breakfast; it shows how much they love what they do. Their breakfast was outstanding. Giovanni was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They were very accommodating with our request of a special dinner to celebrate our friends' 42nd wedding anniversary. We will forever remember how special and delicious the dinner was, thanks to the wonderful cooking of Giovanni’s mother and nicely presented and explained by Giorgio. Love Il Granaio and the Granaio family!

Our second visit to this country oasis. Love the pool and setting. Very close to Modica but a peaceful environment filled with bird song and tropical plants. Dinners were lovely and Giovanni was the consummate host missing Il Granaio already.

It is a very pleasant bed and breakfast, in a quiet area. All rooms are very well equipped and the service and quality of food is excellent; The people are very friendly and willing to listen and give you sufficient explanation on everything you want to know about the area, the area attractions. In addition, they also have a nice pool and a spa.

Sehr schöne Anlage, sehr abseits, aber ruhig gelegen, ohne Navi schwer zu finden. Großer Pool mit wunderschönem Garten u. Obstbäumen sowie Palmen. Unser Doppelzimmer war relativ klein aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit schönem Bad. Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage vorhanden. Vor der Tür überdachte Terrasse mit großem Tisch und Stühlen. Wifi nur gelegentlich verfügbar. Restaurant ohne Flair und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Essen nur als Fixmenue möglich. 25€ zuzüglich Getränke. Essen reichhaltig und schmackhaft. Am Frühstücksbuffet gab es nichts auszusetzen. Viel frisches Obst und Eigenprodukte. Nettes Personal.

A pochi minuti dal centro di Modica, posto tranquillo e silenzioso per tutto il giorno, ho trovato una bellissima struttura con un giardino ben curato che circonda la piscina, ambiente fresco anche con le temperature alte estive. Camere ben dotate e pulite, letto un pò rigido per le nostri abitudini. Colazione di alta qualità e variegata, con ottimi prodotti locali. Staff accogliente e disponibile a qualsiasi richiesta. Consigliatissimo per relax familiare e di coppia.
