Hey, I'm Michele

The story of Tenuta Sparaceto is closely intertwined with that of the family who has cherished, preserved, and transformed it over the course of more than fifty years. It all began in 1954 when young newlyweds Nanè and Concettina were gifted a small plot of land along with a modest rural building by the generous Don Mimì Rosa. What was then merely a “casazza,” a simple shelter and storage space, soon became their home and the center of a vibrant farming life, filled with wheat and tomato cultivation and raising backyard animals. Over time, due to the dedication and integrity of the young couple, the entire property was entrusted to their care. Every corner of the estate—from the “stanza i liettu” to the “cucina e stanza i mangiari,” from the barn to the hay storage—came to life, becoming an integral part of the family's daily routine. Through joys and sorrows, including the untimely loss of young Concettina, the estate remained the heart of a journey marked by love, hard work, and hope. Nanè, alongside his new partner Rosa and supported by his father Don Ciccio, continued to cultivate the land, nurturing the dream of making that property a permanent home for his daughters. This dream came to fruition in 2006 when Nanè successfully purchased Sparaceto, proudly passing it on to his daughters Giovanna and Franca. It was the latter, together with her husband Michele Garofalo and their children Serena and Daniele, who breathed new life into the estate. With passion and respect for the history of the place, they began renovation work that transformed the old farmhouse into a welcoming agriturismo, rich in memory and authenticity. Today, Tenuta Sparaceto is not just an accommodation facility; it is a living testament to a profound connection with the land, family, and tradition. A place that welcomes guests with the warmth of a true story, lovingly passed down from generation to generation.
