In the heart of the Tuscan hills, Agriturismo Santa Lorica serves as an authentic retreat surrounded by nature, where time appears to slow down, allowing space for silence, the scents of the earth, and the beauty of the landscapes. The Campo Nuovo farmhouse, fully renovated while preserving its original architecture, welcomes guests into warm and harmonious spaces, featuring rooms designed according to the principles of green building, each equipped with essential comforts and stunning views of the Maremma countryside.

The estate spans approximately 700 hectares, offering unspoiled vistas, hiking trails through the woods, and moments of relaxation by the panoramic pool, nestled among the hills and Mediterranean scrub. The secluded yet well-connected location allows for exploration of historic villages such as Sassetta, Suvereto, Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, and Massa Marittima, or a quick trip to the beaches and coastal reserves of the Etruscan Coast.

Elena and Leonardo launched this project in 2019, motivated by their desire to raise their children in close contact with nature and to share a lifestyle with guests that is rooted in a love for the land, sustainable agriculture, and genuine hospitality. The agriturismo also operates as a farm practicing agroforestry and syntropic agriculture, enhancing natural cycles and rejecting the use of chemicals. The extra virgin olive oil comes from the estate's olive groves, cultivated with passion and care, and each product tells a story of balance and authenticity.

In the morning, breakfast is a moment of authenticity: homemade pastries, freshly baked bread, homemade jams, yogurt, juices, fresh eggs, cured meats, and local cheeses. In the evening, the restaurant welcomes guests with traditional Tuscan dishes, prepared with ingredients grown on-site or sourced from suppliers who share the same philosophy. The experience includes themed nights, tastings, rustic aperitifs, and dinners under the stars, all emphasizing conviviality.

Santa Lorica is not just a place to sleep or enjoy good food; it offers a profound experience filled with encounters, flavors, nature, and simplicity. Every corner reflects a choice, and every detail embodies a vision. This is what makes a stay truly unforgettable.

Hey, I'm Leonardo

Elena and Leonardo are the heart and soul of Agriturismo Santa Lorica. Their decision to embrace this lifestyle has evolved over time, driven by their desire to provide their children with a childhood immersed in nature and to create a project rooted in genuine values. Since 2019, they have passionately managed the facility and the farm, blending their love for cooking, the land, and hospitality. Every day, they strive to welcome guests as part of their family, sharing knowledge, stories, and flavors. Leonardo primarily handles the agricultural aspects and agroforestry projects, while Elena is the vibrant core of the kitchen, where she transforms simple, seasonal ingredients into dishes rich in flavor and tradition. Area Campagna

The Val di Cornia is one of the most genuine and surprising regions of Tuscany, nestled between the metalliferous hills and the sea of the Etruscan Coast. In this landscape, still relatively untouched by mass tourism, the medieval village of Sassetta emerges as a small treasure trove of history and nature, with its stone streets, houses closely built together, and a view that stretches over deep woods and the coastline.

Sassetta is renowned for its red marble, shaped by generations of stone carvers, as well as its natural hot springs that flow at nearly 50 degrees, providing moments of relaxation amidst the greenery. The trails that weave through the Poggio Neri Forest Park lead to pristine vistas, perfect for hiking, wildlife observation, and horseback riding. Hidden within the woods are ancient mills, abandoned quarries, and striking geological features like the crevice of Mount Bufalino.

Nearby, charming villages such as Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima, Monteverdi Marittimo, and Castagneto Carducci boast lively squares, artisan shops, wineries, and trattorias. A bit further away, you can visit Massa Marittima and Sasso Pisano, known for their geothermal springs and natural pools, which remain wild places where nature retains a primitive essence.

The coastline, about 20 kilometers away, alternates between light sandy beaches, shady pine forests, and rocky coves. From the Sterpaia Coastal Park to the Gulf of Baratti, and from San Vincenzo to Rimigliano, extending to the Piombino promontory and the Maremma Park reserve, each stretch of coast offers diverse environments, all characterized by clean waters and picturesque landscapes.

The area is also famous for its culinary delights: Bolgheri, with its renowned vineyards, is a must-visit for wine lovers, while in every village, you can savor cheeses, cured meats, honey, and extra virgin olive oil produced using traditional methods. It’s a place where Tuscany reveals its true essence, combining land, sea, history, and flavors.
