Villa Irma welcomes its guests in the serene countryside of Tuscany, just five minutes from the center of Arezzo. It is the perfect retreat for those looking to recharge away from the hustle and bustle of city life, while still enjoying modern amenities and the opportunity to explore the wonders of Tuscany and Umbria. From the villa, it is easy to reach artistic cities such as Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano, and Florence, as well as Perugia, Assisi, and Lake Trasimeno, ideal for day trips.

Arezzo, one of the most captivating art cities in Italy, is home to masterpieces by Piero della Francesca, the crucifix by Cimabue, the house of Giorgio Vasari, and the impressive Medici Fortress. The historic center, famous for the Antique Fair and the Saracino Joust, is filled with artisan shops, traditional restaurants, and narrow streets that lead to the charming Piazza Grande.

The villa is divided into two independent apartments, carefully renovated to offer cozy spaces and modern amenities. Both feature air conditioning, mosquito nets, and Wi-Fi. The ground-floor apartment, I Cipressi, is barrier-free and can accommodate up to four people, including a kitchen-living area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a shower. The Fienile is spread over two levels, accommodating four people with the option for an extra guest, and includes a kitchen-living area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a relaxation room.

Outside, the panoramic swimming pool overlooking Arezzo is surrounded by a fenced garden with olive trees, a sunbathing area, an outdoor shower, sun loungers, and umbrellas, creating an oasis of tranquility and privacy. The garden also features a barbecue and tables for outdoor dining, while the Fienile has a dedicated enclosed space for guests with pets. Parking is available within the property, either in a covered garage or under a pergola.

Private dinners and Qi Gong lessons for small groups can be arranged upon request. Bedding, bath towels, and pool towels are provided, with weekly changes. Additional services include final cleaning, utility costs, tourist tax, and a small fee for guests traveling with pets, which do not incur daily charges but involve a fixed supplement for cleaning and a refundable deposit.

Verena, the owner, has restored Villa Irma to its former glory, personally overseeing every step of the renovation, fueled by the desire to revive her parents' home and the genuine atmosphere of her childhood. Today, she shares this special place with her guests, where time seems to flow more slowly and every detail tells the story of Tuscany's beauty and authenticity.

Area Campagna

Arezzo is located in a prime position among the gentle hills of eastern Tuscany, a region where art, nature, and tradition coexist in perfect balance. The city, filled with charm and history, is home to unique masterpieces such as Piero della Francesca's fresco cycle in the Basilica of San Francesco, Cimabue's crucifix in the Church of San Domenico, and the elegant architecture of Casa Vasari. The vibrant heart of the city is Piazza Grande, one of the most picturesque settings in Italy, framed by medieval and Renaissance buildings and lively every month with the Fiera Antiquaria, the oldest antique fair in the country.

As you stroll through the streets of the city center, you will discover goldsmith shops, craft stores, and trattorias that preserve the authentic flavors of Tuscan cuisine. The atmosphere becomes even more lively during the Giostra del Saracino, a historical reenactment that transforms Arezzo into a colorful journey back to the Middle Ages.

Surrounding the city are landscapes of rare beauty: hills dotted with cypress trees, ancient villages, and abbeys set in lush greenery. From here, you can easily reach Cortona, known for its views of the Val di Chiana, Montepulciano with its historic wineries, or Siena with its famous Piazza del Campo. In less than two hours by car, you can also visit Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, as well as the Umbrian cities of Perugia and Assisi, perfect for day trips.

The Arezzo countryside, with its vineyards and olive groves, invites you to engage in authentic experiences: wine tastings and local product samplings, walks along the trails, and visits to Romanesque churches and ancient castles. This is a region that captivates with its understated elegance and its ability to make every traveler feel a part of its millennia-old history.
