Le Spine B&B

Le Spine is a charming and unique bed & breakfast that originally served as a stopping point for pilgrims on the Via Francigena and cyclists traveling the Fornovo-Cassio route. It is also perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a few days immersed in nature, culture, and gastronomy. The establishment, a result of careful restoration, maintains the authenticity of a rural home with three simple yet well-appointed rooms, each equipped with a private bathroom and offering panoramic views of either the Val Baganza or Val Grontone. The use of natural materials, warm wood, and simple details creates an intimate and genuine atmosphere.

In the morning, breakfast is served on the terrace or by the fireplace, featuring both sweet and savory options: homemade cakes, yogurt, jams, toasted bread, cookies, fresh fruit, and hot beverages, with gluten-free and vegan alternatives available upon request. Guests can also enjoy local eggs, cheeses, and cold cuts if desired. During their stay, visitors can unwind by selecting a book or a board game from the small home library.

Adjacent to the B&B is the pub, the heart of the project: not just a simple bar, but a gathering place to savor selected craft beers along with sandwiches or cold dishes made from locally sourced ingredients chosen directly by the owners. Cultural events such as “Sorsi di Scienza” are also organized here, which combine socializing with curiosity, storytelling, and flavors.

The location, situated along the Via Francigena and just minutes away from trails and attractions like the Salti del Diavolo, the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park, and the village of Berceto, allows for experiences that blend nature and history. Pontremoli and Lunigiana further enhance the opportunities for day trips.
